With all the craziness going on in the world right now, we could use a little cheering up! In many parts of the United States, people are required to wear a mask indoors. Even Disney World has a health and safety policy that requires guests to wear a mask at all indoor locations. Disney typically enforces the rules in a way that is fun and friendly — you might even see a Disney friend or two donning a mask in solidarity!
Recently, we saw a Star Wars-inspired character on a mission…but it’s not a typical Mandalorian mission!
Let us introduce you to “the Maskalorian,” defender of germs and provider of masks.
The Maskalorian was created by a man named Matt Adams, a 43-year-old filmmaker and improv performer. His mission is to distribute disposable face masks with his pal Masku (who looks a lot like The Mandalorian’s Grogu). The duo has handed out about 1,000 masks to others, according to The Washington Post.
So far, the Maskalorian has been seen all over the world, including Austria, New York City, and even airplanes. Even outside of Disney World, people are embracing the spirit of Star Wars for all sorts of causes! We’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so be sure to stay tuned for more!
