Want to experience the flavors of Los Angeles all while hanging at Disney California Adventure? It’s possible thanks to the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! We’ve been making our way through the festival and so far, we’ve tried some AMAZING snacks.
This time, we’re headed to the LA Style festival food booth to try some new foods! Who knows, if we’re feeling adventurous, we might even try a drink, too!
The menu at the LA Style booth looks a little different than it did in 2020. Not only are there two new dishes…but there are also two new drinks to try!
We spy some enticing menu items this year. Who’s ready to EAT?!
Menu
Would it be crazy if we ordered EVERYTHING on the menu…because that’s exactly what we plan to do!
This year the menu features Glazed BBQ Pork Belly, a Gyro-inspired Flatbread featuring Impossible Ground Beef, a Mezcaleros Ancho Sandia Margarita, and a Sake-Melon ’75. Let’s dig in!
Eats
We’ll start with the Glazed BBQ Pork Belly. It’s served with furikake-togarashi mac salad and is available for $8.50. This dish is one of our favorites from the festival! The pork was sweet, tender, and perfectly cooked, with a really great flavor. We really enjoyed the macaroni salad too, which was a solid side dish.
Nothing says LA like a Gyro-inspired Flatbread featuring Impossible Ground Beef with chipotle hummus, tzatziki, and spiced crispy chickpeas for $6.75. If you don’t like chipotle hummus, this dish is probably a no for you. We did like the flatbread, though, and if chipotle hummus is your jam, you’d probably enjoy it!
Let’s check out the drinks!
Drinks
Next up, we’re trying a new marg! The Mezcaleros Ancho Sandia Margarita is made with mezcal, ancho chile liqueur, watermelon, mango, lime, and agave nectar. You can try this fruity margarita for $14, but if you don’t like the smokiness of mezcal, skip this one!
Finally, we needed a little jolt of excitement, so we ordered the Sake-Melon ’75, made with sake, ginger liqueur, prosecco, rockmelon syrup, and lemongrass-citron purée for $14. This drink was really refreshing! The ginger wasn’t super powerful, and you can really taste the prosecco.
Definitely order your drinks depending on what flavors you prefer!
Overall
The Glazed BBQ Pork Belly is one of the BEST dishes we’ve tried, and as long as you like chipotle hummus, you’d probably also like the Gyro-inspired Flatbread! And with the drinks, keep in mind the smokiness of mezcal with the Mezcaleros Ancho Sandia Margarita, but you can always get the Sake-Melon ’75 for a refreshing vibe!
This is a fun little booth to visit if you’re looking for some filling (and delicious) snacks! Stay tuned to DFB; we’ll be checking out all the booths at this year’s Food & Wine Festival.
