Now and then we like to explore the lesser-known hang-outs at Walt Disney World. Tucked into the main building at Coronado Springs Resort and specializing in awesome tequilas (they’re run by the same folks who run Cava del Tequila!) Rix Lounge is a unique place to unwind!
We’ve got a photo tour of this fun nightspot for you below, but first I have some super fun news to share for those of us who love tequila and beverage tastings!
Rix Lounge’s FIRST EVER Tequila Tasting
Rix Lounge will host their first ever Tequila Tasting on Saturday, March 30th, at 8pm! A tequila ambassador (Hilda, maybe?) will guide guests through the history and production process of tequila, the different types and categories of tequila, and of course a tasting.
I’m guessing this will be a LOT like the tequila tastings from the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, which have now been turned into full blown tequila lunches! The tasting will include Milagro Select Barrel Silver, Partida Reposado, and Gran Centenario Añejo. A delicious Sangrita will be the finishing touch.
Tickets are available to the general public (ages 21 and up) at $30 per person in advance, or $35 per person at the door. A table reservation is required.
Rix Lounge Photo Tour
Now, for those of you who haven’t ever been to this little-known Disney hot spot, let’s take a gander around! Here’s a photo tour for ya!!
Many special events are held at Rix Lounge, including kid birthday parties and romantic weddings! So, check the schedule before planning your evening. There is no cover charge unless a special event that is open to the public is being offered.
When you need a restorative libation, this bar at Rix will fix you up!
Rix Lounge seats 300 and is often crowded with locals on Thursday and Friday evenings. A DJ spins tunes and the dance floor may be packed!
Parent companies (Palmas Services, LLC, Springs Food Service, LLC, and San Angel Inn, LLC) run the Mexican restaurants on Disney property, including Rix Lounge, San Angel Inn Restaurant, La Cava del Tequila, La Cantina, La Hacienda Restaurant, Disney’s Coronado Springs room service, the Pepper Market, Maya Grill, Siesta’s, Café Rix, Laguna Bar, and Las Ventanas (the private room of Rix Lounge).
In addition to adult beverages, Rix Lounge offers a small menu of appetizers. Great for a before-dinner bite or a late-night munch.
The plush booths are so inviting! Or maybe you’re feeling like a VIP? Exclusive VIP tables are available for parties up to 12 people. There is a food and beverage minimum and reservations are required. To reserve, call 407-939-3851.
Great for a late night snack. Check out the Bites Menu!
Beverage choices include Rix Shooters.
And some great mojitos are available, too!
Don’t choose just one margarita – try a Margarita flight! You’ll get to sample many different flavors.
Rix Lounge provides an upscale place to unwind without having to travel to Downtown Disney. Plan accordingly as this is an over-21 venue (unless you’ve booked it for a daytime special event for kids). Sports fans should note that the NFL Sunday Ticket is available for viewing!
Open Sunday through Thursday 6pm to 12am with an extra hour on weekends. Friday and Saturday, stop by Rix Lounge from 6pm to 1am. Perfect for an after-the-parks pick-me-up in a trendy setting!
Have you visited Rix Lounge? What’s your favorite lounge at Disney World?

Hopefully this will get people in! During my stays at Coronado, Rix was always empty… Even when the DJ was playing some really awesome music…
