Know what’s so fun about Disney World? No, we’re not talking about Flight of Passage, or eating a Mickey Bar, or saying “hello” to Mickey (though those are VERY fun, too!). One of our favorite parts of going to Disney World is that no two visits are ever the same! Between all the new treats and merchandise released on a daily basis, plus all the fun surprises we happen to find, there’s always something new and exciting just waiting to be discovered.
Speaking of new things, we visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom to check out what was new. Let’s take a look!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
It’s been a LONG time since Frozen Bananas have been readily available in all four Disney parks. For a while, our beloved frozen fruit treat was completely gone from the menus, but back in November, they finally came back to the Magic Kingdom (with a NEW supplier!).
Now, we’re happy to report that Frozen Bananas are available once again at ALL snack carts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Oh, how we’ve missed you — we were going BANANAS waiting for them to return! 😉

Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is selling the returning Bunny Butt Rice Krispie Treat! You can also find the treat in Disney Springs, and this (plus a few other Easter specialties) are available throughout the Disney parks.
The Bunny Butt Rice Krispie Treat is $4.49. You can read our full review of this classic Easter treat here!

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates
Restaurantosaurus has been under construction for a few weeks, but the construction walls are finally gone and all the seating areas are open!
This restaurant is full of fun Imagineering details — check it out next time you’re in Dinoland!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Island Mercantile
Have you seen Turning Red on Disney+ yet? It’s a cute little movie! Now, you too can unleash your inner panda with this new Turning Red skirt for $49.99.
We’ve seen this Turning Red boy band shirt in some of the other Disney parks, but now you can find it in Animal Kingdom, too!
The sparkly Tomorrowland Minnie ears we just found online are also available in the Island Mercantile store!
You can pick them up for $29.99.
Riverside Depot
This new scrunchie set is adorable! You can find it for $16.99.
We’ve seen this playful Minnie Mouse kids dress at the Art of Animation gift shop and the Creations store, but now we’re happy to see it in Animal Kingdom!
Remember that scene in Star Tours where your ship dives under the water and you almost get devoured by a sea creature? Good news! You can recreate that scene with these new Star Wars bath toys for $24.99.
This Aladdin mug is new to Animal Kingdom! We’ve seen it around the other parks before, but the Magic Carpet must have dropped some off at the Riverside Depot.
Speaking of new mugs, we found a friendly little Hello Gorgeous mug for $14.99.
We’ve seen this mug in Disneyland, but now you can save yourself a trip to California!
Discovery Trading
Disney’s NEW Pixar-themed Dooney & Bourke bags sold out FAST on shopDisney, but the good news is that the full collection is available at Discovery Trading!
The collection features a large tote bag and satchel for $298 each, plus a crossbody bag for$228. You can also buy a matching MagicBand for $58.

Animal Kingdom Additional Updates
Festival of the Lion King
A few days ago, Disney’s Festival of the Lion King show closed after its 1PM show. After that, all shows for the rest of the day were canceled.
Cast Members informed us that they were having technical difficulties with the set and could not reopen for the rest of the day. Luckily, the show is back up and running now!
