SO many things have returned to Disney World over the past several months, like entertainment, dining options, and traditional character meet and greets.
A lot of restaurants have reopened, like Flying Fish, Jiko, ‘Ohana, and more. But, we have still been waiting on a select few dining options that remain closed. We found out a while back that a very popular dining option would be returning this summer, and now, it’s finally open again!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is BACK in Disney World! We were invited to check out the restaurant today for its official reopening.
If you don’t know, Hoop-Dee-Doo is dinner and a show, complete with a stage and some musical numbers over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds.

We checked in and waited for our showtime to start at 4PM!
We were welcomed back by Tom, a creative director at Disney World!

Outside of the Musical Revue is a new outdoor drink station that is open for guests before the show begins and during intermission.
Here’s a look at the drinks they have available.
Then, it was time to head on inside!
We got inside a little early because we’re just so excited!
Here a little early…do you think we’re excited? 👀

They come out into the middle of the dining room to sing…
…and then they make the whole dining room spin their napkins in the air!
They come out on stage a couple times to perform throughout the meal.
We’re not just here for the awesome performances though, we’re also super excited about the FOOD! We already knew that there were going to be some enhancements to the menu, as Disney released the full menu ahead of time. We found out that these enhancements were based on guest feedback, so they added creamy coleslaw and house made macaroni and cheese to the menu! To start the meal, we got some house-made corn bread and honey butter!
Here’s a look at that coleslaw…
…and the Hoop Salad, which has the signature “hoop” vinaigrette topped with sharp white cheddar, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
Then, it was time for the main event! The main meal comes with Pecan-smoked BBQ Pork Ribs with BBQ sauce and the Legendary Fried Chicken! As for sides, there is the Cornbread-crusted Macaroni and Cheese, the Home-style Mashed Potatoes, and Cowboy Beans.
Of course…you know we’re stoked about the FOOOOOD 😋

Hoop-Dee-Doo is also accommodating to dietary restrictions, so you can get a vegan or vegetarian meal option instead. Just let the chef know when you check-in and they’ll get you an alternative dish.
After our main meal, it was time for dessert, which was brought out with the help of some singing from the Cast Members!
The best part of the show…STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 🍰🎶 pic.twitter.com/ISmsfe7Sr4

Was the corn bread as good as before? At trails end they are serving it in a skillet.

I have a solo trip planned in July and will be enjoying my first time at Hoop Dee Doo on July 10. Will I need to sit with strangers at one of those larger tables or do they have tables for 2 that I maybe could sit at by myself? And if I do need to share a larger table with strangers, how does that work with the food? Sharing food with strangers is not something I am too excited about.
