Some of the best restaurants on Disney World property are at the hotels!
Topolino’s Terrace, Jiko, California Grill, ‘Ohana, Toledo — all of these are hotel restaurants that knock it out of the park. So, we can totally understand why you would sacrifice some park time to eat at these spots during your vacation! And, for those of you planning where you want to eat on your upcoming trip, you need to know about a closure happening soon at a Disney hotel restaurant.
Narcoossee’s over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be closed for refurbishment starting on June 18th, 2022.
But, reservations will be available through June 17th, 2022, so if you really want a table at this spot, book it soon! Narcoossee’s is currently open every night for dinner from 5PM-10PM.
Disney says that we should expect the spot to reopen sometime later this year with “an enhanced table-service experience.” Hmm…so what does that mean? It could be a new look, new menu, or both — we’ll just have to wait and see!

Probably just means it will be a price fixed meal.

We had promised our daughter we would take her family to WDW when our grand turned 6. Narcoossee’s has been a must-do. I hope dis doesn’t screw this up, too. We were going to focus on Universal but do some really nice dinners at the resorts.
Artist Point—gone.
What else will be on the chopping block that is on our plan?

Didn’t Narcoossee’s recently undergo a refurbishment and redecoration in a Mary Poppins 2 style? Do restaurants ever close for “refurbishment” just to install a new menu or switch to a pre fixe menu? This seems rather mysterious, no?

Being a huge fan of Grand Floridian F&B venues, I was very concerned when Mizner’s Lounge and Citrico’s closed during recent years for renovations. Both ended up better than they were before. While the Enchanted Rose concept that replaced Mizner’s was intended for Riviera, it is a spectacular venue despite that Beauty & The Beast doesn’t fit with the property. The Mary Poppins Returns theming at Citrico’s is perfection and the venue is better than ever before.
While I’m scared for Narcoosee’s, the venue has changed little since the original opening and the time has arrived for updating. Narcoosee’s has always been that perfect venue of providing outstanding food with top notch service in a relaxed environment. I just hope it retains the relaxed vibe.

Anna, no that was Citrico’s that closed and is now Mary Poppins style.

It looks like they are going to ruin another great restaurant. Prix Fixe dinner is just a fancy way to say banquet food. Mass produced so that real chefs don’t have to cook individual meals. So sad for us, more money for them.
Bob Berry says
Narcoosees has been our final dinner restaurant since 2014 for multiple stays. I hope the changes are for good. I don’t want to change our tradition.
