When you think “dining at the Boardwalk,” what comes to mind? Probably restaurants like Flying Fish, Kouzzina, the ESPN Club, and other table-service spots. But what if you’re in a hurry?
There are plenty of dining options on the Boardwalk for those who need to “eat and run!”:
Boardwalk Joe’s
For coffee drinks or pastries, Boardwalk Joe’s is the place to go.
This is perfect for grabbing some breakfast before rope drop at Epcot’s International Gateway or getting your latte before a walk over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
If you’re headed over a bit later, try a premium beer or a cocktail. You can even get some Bailey’s and Coffee — perfect for those chilly days!
Boardwalk Pizza Window
This is the “take-out” Boardwalk dining that most folks think of first. This used to be the Spoodles pizza window, and still remains in the same spot even though Kouzzina has now taken over the restaurant attached.
Boardwalk Bakery
The Boardwalk Bakery has a wonderful range of fresh-baked goodies available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hang around for a while and you might catch the bakers decorating a wedding cake or putting the finishing touches on a batch of brownies or cookies.
Boardwalk To Go Kiosk
This hot spot is rather new on the Boardwalk, but it’s another place to get a chili cheese dog, so it’s definitely on my radar! They also have my favorite snack — cheese fries. Heaven.
So where there used to be a dirth of quick-service food options on the Boardwalk, there are now a wealth of spots to grab a bite. And, don’t forget — if all you want is a bunch of candy or ice cream, Seashore Sweets is available to you as well!

We ordered a whole pizza from the Pizza Window on our last trip. This was the first time I have ordered a pizza at a Disney resort, so I was surprised when they told me the pizza would take half an hour to make.
Is that normal?
AJ says
I’ve never ordered a whole pizza, James, so I’m not sure… The one time I ordered a pizza at Coronado Springs, I think it took about that long for the delivery — possibly a bit longer, actually.
Was the pizza good?
The Practical Mom's Disney Vacation Companion says
One thing that visitors want to be aware of is that the walk-up, quick-service kiosks at the BoardWalk do not take Disney Dining Plan credits. So, you will pay out-of-pocket and possibly end up with left quick-service credits that you have paid for but don’t get a chance to use.
AJ says
Thanks for your comment! The photo of the menu at Boardwalk Joe’s does indicate that “the breakfast dining plan includes one baked good, one whole fruit, and two single-serving beverages.” Is that different than the Disney Dining Plan?
James (Disneynorth) says
The pizza was “OK”. After we ordered and ate the pizza, we saw the flyer slipped under the door for the “off propery” delivery place that was cheaper. Next time I guess…..

Hmm…that might be a good food blog: off-property pizza places. Thanks for the idea!

Pizza, delivered or to-go, has never been one of Walt Disney World’s culinary strengths, luckily they possess plenty of amazing cooking abilities to make up for it.
Back at the Boardwalk, I don’t think there is as diverse a collection of grab and go foods available within the same amount of space as can be found along this wooden walkway.
AJ says
Agreed, Ryan. I think table-service restaurant flatbreads are just about the best “pizza” you’ll get on property.

Okay, so I’m concerned. We just became DVC members and are booked for our first trip at the Boardwalk Villas. First time staying at the Boardwalk and first trip as DVC members. We arrive this Friday. We have two young kids and when we were there in October, aside from all of the family getting violently ill, we found the full dining plan a waste. Our youngest was a terror at most of the table meals we tried to have. So this time out we’ve opted for the Quick Service Dining Plan. So it concerns the heck out of me that there is no “Cafeteria” at the Boardwalk and little for counter service options. Where do I go to get my resort mug filled? It comes with the Dining Plan but where does one utilize it? And where would I go to get a meal on the Quick Service Dining Plan? Do I have to trek over the Beach Club?
Thanks!
AJ says
Hey Chris! You can fill your mug at Leaping Horse Libations pool bar, Seashore Sweets, and the BoardWalk Bakery. The only Quick Service dining plan location at the Boardwalk is the Boardwalk Bakery, but you do have TONS of options over in Epcot (here’s the list) and a few at the Beach/Yacht Club. I would think the Boardwalk would be a great place to have the Quick Service plan because of all the variety you have within walking distance in Epcot. 🙂

Hey AJ, do you know if the Pizza go Go accepts CS for a whole pizza. Rumor has it you can get a whole pizza and drinks for 2 or 3 credits. Can you confirm this? TIA
(Years ago we were able to use CS credits at the Spoodles take out window-we got a whole pizza, giant salad, order of breadsticks, and 3 drinks for 3 credits. This was way back in Jan. 05!)

Are refillable mugs , or will they be, a thing of the past? I thought I read that somewhere. Shame! Replaced by some other data? Is the Trails End Buffet (LUNCH) also a thing of the past and are “they” experimenting with something different? Thanks, Dottie

Do not call for a pizza from the under the door flyers. They may be scams. Once they get your credit card number, that’ll be it, and you likely won’t get a pizza at all.
Apparently some actually get a pizza delivered but it turns out to be a frozen grocery store pizza for which you just paid a pizzeria price.
