Do you love Mac and Cheese as much as we do?
We’ll eat it pretty much any way we can get our hands on it, whether that be breaded and fried, baked with lobster in it, or served on a hot dog. We recently got a chance to have it a NEW way, though — served on a Roast Beef Sandwich.
Meet the Beefy Mac and Cheesy, which is a sandwich made with Roast Beef, Cheddar, Mac and Cheese, topped with a Cheesy Sauce. First, we’ve actually had this sandwich before, but it’s “now even cheesier,” and excuse us, because that’s just speaking our love language.
Okay, so is this as delicious as it sounds? Well, yes! The roast beef flavor is nice and savory, and there are even hints of pepper but it isn’t super spicy. The meat is moist and cooked well.
BUT…okay, so we consider ourselves Macaroni and Cheese snobs, and the mac and cheese on this did not taste homemade. It didn’t offer a new flavor to the sandwich although it did add a nice soft texture and extra cheese, of course.
We will say this, being who we are (you know, people who LOOOOOVVVEEE cheese), we really appreciated the extra cheese sauce ON TOP of the mac and cheese. You can NEVER have too much cheese, people.
If you’re a fan of roast beef sandwiches or a nice French dip, we think this is a fun take on that, though. Also, be sure to grab loads of napkins because this baby can get messy.
This sandwich is available now at Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs for $8.49.
