Have you ever done a date night in Disney World?!
While some people may not consider Disney World the spot for a night out on the town or a romantic evening, there are a TON of spots that are perfect for dates. Whether it’s your first date or a night out without your little ones, there is something for everyone. So, let’s talk about the BEST date night spots in Disney World!
Bars
We’re starting out with one of the more obvious options — bars! There are a ton of bars and lounges in Disney World that are great for date nights, and there usually aren’t many kids around. To start, let’s head on over to Disney’s BoardWalk, to AbracadaBar, which is a magician-themed bar and lounge.
This place has a really cool and unique theme that you can’t find in many places, making it a lot more interesting than just your average bar. The drinks are also themed, the bartenders are awesome, and if you look around, you can find a lot of Disney Easter eggs in the decor! You can also order select food items from Trattoria al Forno over here, so you can have snacks and drinks.
Plus, you’re already at the BoardWalk, so you can walk around the area before or after if you choose to do date night at AbracadaBar. Also on the BoardWalk is Jellyrolls! This is a dueling piano bar, which (if you don’t know) is exactly what it sounds like! Two pianos are up on stage, and they take requests for songs from the audience.
This place is super lively, so it would be even more fun for a double date night or for a date night out with a larger group! Do know that you do have to be at least 21 years old and pay a cover to get in.

There are also some fun bars and lounges inside the parks! In EPCOT, La Cava del Tequila is a great place to hang out and have a couple margaritas and some chips and guac. This tequila cave inside the Mexico pavilion generally draws an adults-only crowd, though there isn’t an age limit for entering. Just keep in mind that this date night requires you both to have park tickets and park pass reservations for EPCOT!
It is also pretty tiny inside La Cava, but you should always see if there’s a table available because a lot of people just order drinks at the bar to go! There are HUNDREDS of varieties of tequila in here as well as some really fun margaritas. If you want to take your date night up a notch, you can also do the private tequila tasting offered here — the Agave Experience. This will let you try a variety of tequilas and you’ll be guided through the experience by a tequila ambassador.

Back over at the resorts, there are many other fun bars and lounges to check out. Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll find Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, which has some of our favorite theming in Disney World! This is a hidden tiki bar that comes alive when you order certain drinks. The bartenders are SO FUN, and it’s a very lively atmosphere. Plus, there is also food available!
And, after 8PM, this bar becomes 21+. If you’re looking for a unique bar experience with some really good (and strong) tiki drinks, this is the place to be. Just make sure to get on the list early in the day (ideally right when it opens at 3PM!) because it can fill up really fast and it’s first come, first serve.
If you’re craving a bit more sophistication, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa you’ll find the Enchanted Rose bar and lounge. This is one of the newer spots at Disney World and it’s absolutely gorgeous. There are three different rooms themed to Beauty & the Beast (in a subtle, elegant way) and there’s a patio outside you can sit at as well.
This is a great spot to go if you’re feeling fancy or romantic! This bar also has some food and you can sit outside and enjoy the views of Seven Seas Lagoon.

Finally, we want to talk about bar crawls! Yes, it is possible to do bar crawls in Disney World, and they’re actually pretty fun. You can do a Monorail bar crawl and hop between the bars at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian resorts! You can also do a bar crawl along the Skyliner, and stop at spots like Petals Pool Bar at Pop Century Resort, Bar Riva at the Riviera Resort, and the Banana Cabana pool bar at Caribbean Beach Resort.
If you would rather do a bar crawl on foot, you could do one through Disney Springs at the many, many restaurants and bars. One idea for a bar crawl would be going to Homecomin’, Jock Lindsey’s, Wine Bar George, and then ending at Raglan Road, where there is also often live music!

Activities
Now, let’s talk about activities you can do during date night at Disney World. Some people want to do more than just going to get a drink or a meal, and we totally get that. Did you know you can go bowling in Disney World? Yep! Over at Disney Springs, you can bowl at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. There’s also food and drinks here that you wouldn’t usually find at normal bowling alleys (like sushi!).
You can also play mini golf in Disney World! Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens are the 2 mini golf courses in Disney World, and they’re both very themed and very fun. It’s also not super expensive — it’s only $14 per adult to play a round and the courses are open until 10PM.
If you want something a bit more Disney-focused, you can do one of the many tours offered at Disney World. For example, Starlight Safari is a tour that lets you see the animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge using night vision goggles! Or, you can do the Savor the Savanna tour for an early evening date and go on a private safari in Animal Kingdom as well as experiencing a meal on the savanna.
Want something that makes you feel like a total kid again? Check out the H2O Glow After Hours event at Typhoon Lagoon water park! It’s a party with live music, food, drinks, and way lower wait times to enjoy everything at the water park at night! Find out more about this returning event right here.
If you want something way more chill, head on over to Disney Springs and catch dinner and a movie at the AMC DINE-IN. You can see the latest Disney releases and have a meal at the same time!
Also at Disney Springs are the Amphicars. These are cars that go in the water! Yep, they drive on land and then turn into boats. It’d be a super unique experience to drive around the lake in a car and then grab some dinner — bonus points if you go at sunset!
Another fun and incredibly underrated activity is Sangria University, located over at Coronado Springs Resort. This is an afternoon course where you learn about the history of sangria (plus try a bunch of them), and even learn how to make your own! It’s $59 per person for the 90-minute class, and you also have food to go along with the drinks. Do note that this is only offered on Saturdays and Sundays and must be booked in advance.
Finally, the activity you might enjoy the most on a date night is taking advantage of the Extended Evening Hours at the Disney World parks! If you’re staying at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Disney Resort, you get access to Extended Evening Hours, which allow you to stay in select parks on select nights for 2 extra hours after closing.
Right now, this offering is only for EPCOT and Magic Kingdom (although we have seen it happen previously at Hollywood Studios). Not everything is open in the parks during this time, like food, but there are attractions open and it’s usually WAY less crowded.
There also aren’t typically as many kids that stay in the parks for this offering because it’s so late in the evening. And, if you’re in EPCOT, select bars stay open for you to enjoy!

Fancy Restaurants
Date nights are the perfect time to try out the nicer restaurants at Disney World! These are the fancier places with more elevated dining experiences that you’ll probably find geared more toward adults compared to the other theme park restaurants. There are a lot of these at Disney Springs, like Wine Bar George (where you can also attend special wine events!), Morimoto Asia, or Jaleo.
You can also find a variety of these restaurants at the resorts, like Jiko, which is over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Jiko’s menu is great for adventurous eaters and has things like steak, seafood, and a big selection of South African wines.
Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can find California Grill, which is up on the top floor of the hotel. This is a very fancy spot that has a special 50th anniversary menu right now. You can catch incredible views of Magic Kingdom, and if you eat here, you can watch the Enchantment fireworks from the observation deck!
We especially recommend doing the 50th Flavors & Fireworks party here if you want to make the night really special. You get appetizers, drinks, and a great view of the fireworks for $129 per person.
In Animal Kingdom, Tiffins is a great option for a date night! The decor is beautiful here and there are some awesome food offerings like a whole fried fish, butter chicken, and lobster macaroni and cheese.
Since Tiffins is connected to Nomad Lounge, you could also do drinks before or after your meal to extend your date night!
If you want another dining experience that includes fireworks, head on over to Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort! This is up on the top floor and has a big outdoor patio in addition to the inside restaurant. The food here is delicious, from the ricotta to the rigatoni, and then you can go outside and watch the fireworks happening at EPCOT!
But, we’re not done with rooftop dining yet! Over at Coronado Springs, Toledo is the restaurant on top of Gran Destino Tower. It’s a tapas restaurant so it’s a great place to go if you want to share a bunch of small plates with your date (but they have larger plates, too!). Toledo also has a deck outside that gets you views of fireworks from both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT!
Finally, we couldn’t make this list without mentioning Victoria & Albert’s! This VERY fancy restaurant is over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and is a AAA Five Diamond Award recipient.
In fact, it’s won a LOT of awards! This is a prix fixe coursed meal that costs a very pretty penny, so it would be a good option for a super special occasion, or if you just want to majorly splurge! Victoria & Albert’s is not open at the moment, but Disney has shared that it will be open by the end of the year.

Shows
Finally, let’s talk about shows you can see in Disney World for date night! First up, we have Drawn to Life presented by Disney and Cirque du Soleil. This show at Disney Springs is all about animation. It features acrobatics, choreography, and some amazing costumes!
There is also now a dining package you can get along with tickets to the show. So, you can get dinner before or after the performance!

We know we already talked about fireworks, but there are actually more fireworks dessert parties in Disney World! There are dessert parties in Magic Kingdom for Enchantment, and the after-party is usually the one that has less kids. You get a prime spot to watch the fireworks and then can chow down on dessert after the show.
There is also a fireworks cruise available in Disney World! Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise will let you take in the fireworks of Enchantment from Seven Seas Lagoon while snacking on some sweets.
Finally, there are actual concerts from big artists in Disney World! At House of Blues in Disney Springs, artists perform all the time. So, you can check in advance to see if an artist you like is in town and grab tickets! Since you’re already at Disney Springs, you can grab dinner before or after, as well.
So, there are a TON of ways to have a special date night in Disney World! We hope you enjoy some of these ideas, but if you’re someone who likes things to be a bit more simple, you can always just enjoy time in the theme parks together walking around, or exploring your Disney hotel!
