Are you still getting “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” stuck in your head on the daily? Well, there are now A LOT of ways to interact with the Disney hit, Encanto in the parks!
But, soon Disney might take fans another step further into the world of Encanto in the Disney Parks!
Encanto composer Lin-Manuel Miranda previously mentioned that he had pitched an idea for an Encanto attraction to then Disney CEO, Bob Chapek. And, in a new interview with Insider, Miranda spoke more about the possibility of an Encanto attraction actually happening.
In the interview, he said, “It was funny because everyone’s like, ‘Will there be a sequel? Will there be a show?’ and I said, ‘I want a ride before I want any of that.'” And, although Miranda said he didn’t have any details, he confirmed that Disney is working on something for an attraction. “The Imagineers are on it,” he said. “I don’t know what they do or where they live, but I know they’re on it.”
Say what!? It’s REALLY happening?! In his previous interview about an Encanto attraction, Miranda pitched his idea of how the attraction might work. He shared, “I talked to him [Chapek] and said, ‘I know there’s a world in which this casita lives in a theme park and we get to actually walk through it in real life,'” Miranda said.
UPDATE: At the D23 Expo, Disney teased an Encanto land!!!! In this land, we’d actually have the opportunity to walk through THE casita, just like what was mentioned above.
Now, this is still a Blue Sky idea (Meaning it hasn’t truly been confirmed. It has just been teased by Disney) but it’s still exciting if you’re an Encanto fan.
Read more about the teased Encanto land for Magic Kingdom here!
Of course, we’ll keep an eye out for any additional details on the potential attraction, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest!

This is so exciting!! Wonder how long they’re thinking. My daughter and I have been saying it would be great to make an Encanto ride where we get to go inside the bedrooms and experience each characters gift via a closer-look tour ride through the rooms. Thank you for sharing!

I have no idea what Encanto is, but if it has a latin flavor, why not update the boat tour thru the Mexican pavilion to the Encanto theming. Can’t be any worse that the aging 3 Caballero’s theming…

Bruno will have gray hair by the time this is done.

An Encanto “Mystic Mansion” would be FAB 🙂
Melanie Durham says
I hope this will come to fruition and I hope it will come to both/all disney parks!
Bill says
This is so predictable. It’s not a stretch to think that Disney makes a movie based on its likelihood that it can be made into a ride but where is the imagination on behalf of the imagineers? A 15 year old kid could come up with good ideas by just watching the movie. The Frozen ride is not entertaining.
There were so many great ideas shelved when EPCOT was being built. Dust those off.
The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise and Space Mountain were all built before the movie or in some cases there is no movie.
Seems Imagineers just aren’t what they used to be. Walt and his crew had it all down.

I think it would be great for a ride to go through the house and have each room do things and ascend up to the individual special rooms. Like a buggy on a track system that a bunch of rides have. Love this movie and can’t get enough of the songs!
Nicole says
The most obvious choice is the 3 Cabelleros boat ride. If they don’t re-theme it to Coco it will be Encanto. In fact, my moneys on Encanto since it’s so popular. This would be pretty easy to do. Heaven knows they need to refresh that attraction pronto!
Sherri says
Re-imagining the boat ride in Mexico would be a perfect option.
Tess says
It is not obvious to make the ride where the Three Caballeros currently is …Mexico. Encanto is Columbian…just because they are both Latin, doesn’t mean they should be lumped together. I’m not even Hispanic and I’m bothered by people even suggesting it.
Susan Blackie says
So let me get this straight, they put Mary Poppins on hold, indefinitely, but are going to make a ride out of a movie that was just released? I would say I am surprised but I’m not. There are so many classic rides that need to be updated and yet Disney choices to ignore them. I personally would love to see the Tiki Room updated with some new special effects,
Shae says
I really wish they would turn the boat ride into a Coco or Encanto themed journey! The Three Caballeros is pretty outdated.
Nicole says
Encanto has no place in MEXICO! Like someone else said, that is insulting to the people of Colombia. I read that they were also thinking about something with the tree in Encanto. Perhaps replacing Tarzan’s tree house in DLR to be Antonio Madrigal’s treehouse bedroom. They are re-theming it but haven’t announced as what. I am sure they can figure out something, but a ride in Mexico would be ridiculous.
Kevin says
Splash Mountain is 100% based on a movie that came out before it and that is why Disney is looking to replace the ride. Also, Columbia is not Mexico, so Encanto would not fit in the Mexico pavilion.
