We are READY for Disney’s upcoming holiday season events!
Due to the global pandemic in 2020, Disney World canceled their usual holiday party that year. Then, in 2021, Disney World replaced its usual Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours Event. For 2022, we’ve been waiting on the news about which event would be returning this year, and we’re thrilled to share that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is coming BACK this holiday season!
This year Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place on 24 select nights from November 8th through December 22nd, 2022!
This is a separately ticketed even that takes place after the park closes to normal guests. So, you have to buy tickets exclusively for the party if you want to attend. The party dates are:
- November: 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 27, 29
- December: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22
We’ve been looking forward to seeing all that will return to this fan-favorite party! In 2019, we saw offerings such as Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show, the Frozen Holiday Wish Castle Lighting show, and The Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
This year, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show is returning! You can join Mickey and his pals in front of Cinderella Castle to see the show featuring nostalgic and modern medleys of holiday music paired with dance performances.
Also returning will be Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks! This show includes castle projections, fireworks, and seasonal songs. We did see this show last year during the After Hours party.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is also coming back, featuring Santa Claus, Mickey, and the flying reindeer, of course!
Like at previous Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties, guests can enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa around Magic Kingdom.
There will also be returning holiday overlays at certain attractions during the party! Jungle Cruise will become the Jingle Cruise during normal hours as well, but as an exclusive treat for event attendees, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, and Mad Tea Party will all receive a special holiday makeover for the party.
Want to dance the night away? Over at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, you can get down when denizens of the North Pole drop by for an intergalactic dance party! Or, dance alongside some of your favorite Disney characters during the holiday show, A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas on the Rockettower Plaza Stage. And, for the Disney Junior fans, you can find the Disney Junior Jingle Jam at Storybook Circus!
There will also be some NEW photo opportunities during the party in honor of Disney World’s 50th anniversary! There will be 3 different photo ops and guests will also receive a special 50th Anniversary commemorative keepsake, themed for the holidays.
Tickets are set to go on sale on July 7th, 2022, will cost $149 – $199 per person, and guests can purchase tickets online. Stay tuned to DFB to count down to the event with us, and get updates on any and all new event information!

What time are guest asked to leave The Magic Kingdom if not attending Holiday nights?
Richard+Mercer says
Any info on HOURS yet?! Showtimes suggest 4:00-10:00 at least, but likely ending later.
Robin says
It looks like guests of Disney hotels can start purchasing their tickets on June 30th. Do you have any idea what time that day we’ll be able to purchase?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Robin! Disney has not said exactly what time the tickets will go on sale, but the Halloween party ticket sales started at midnight so I’d try checking then.
Cathy says
