Ready to take a trip with us to the OG Disney World park?
Magic Kingdom is packed with excitement these days, now that popular entertainment options are back, character hugs have returned, and the 50th Anniversary celebrations are in full swing! But in the past few days alone, we noticed quite a few changes in the parks, and we wanted to make sure our readers didn’t miss anything — here’s everything that’s new in Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Sunshine Tree Terrace
This week we noticed that Citrus Swirl had been removed from the Mobile Order menu and the regular menu at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland. We were told by a Cast Member that the machine was broken, and they were unsure of when this popular treat would be back.
We just recently got Citrus Swirl back in Magic Kingdom after an extended hiatus, so we’ll be watching closely for its return…again!
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and Other Restaurants
And speaking of food items that are missing — many peanut butter treats have been removed from menus due to the recall of Jif peanut butter. We noticed it at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, where they’re currently not offering the peanut butter sauce.
Some other items were missing as well, including the Mr. Toad Dome Cake at Friar’s Nook. If you’re hoping to snag one of the snacks with peanut butter in the parks, just know that you may have to wait a little while for them to return.

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
TRON Coaster
First up, let’s talk about the TRON coaster! We’re still seeing slow progress on the exterior of the attraction during the testing phases of the ride. It seems that more of the walkway leading up to the ride building is getting completed each week.
We still don’t have an opening date or season, but we’ll let you know when we get that information!
Memento Mori
There’s some construction happening over at Memento Mori (the Haunted Mansion gift shop) in Liberty Square as well. Part of the back of the store is blocked off by construction walls.
During this project, the store has remained open for guests, and many of the popular merchandise items are still available.
Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
Speaking of store construction, let’s jump back over to Tomorrowland to talk about Space Mountain’s gift shop — Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. One side of the building is covered in giant construction walls.
However, the big news this week is that train tracks are being installed behind the store — between it and the ride building for Space Mountain. The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed since 2018 for TRON construction and we know that many fans will be excited to see Magic Kingdom progressing towards its return.
No date has been announced for when the train might open, and currently, a few portions of the track are still missing over in Tomorrowland.
Center Street
Between Uptown Jewelers and Crystal Arts, the seating area on Center Street has been blocked off by construction walls. This is usually a nice, calm area for guests to sit and take a break, but it’s inaccessible at the moment.
Disney hasn’t shared any details on projects for this area, so it may just be general maintenance. Currently, it’s not affecting anything else on Main Street, U.S.A. and the two stores next door are still open.
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
Over at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., there’s a MADE kiosk where you can customize a variety of different souvenirs like magnets, phone cases, and more. This week, several new patterns showed up as options on the screen, including Mickey Mouse, Lilo & Stitch, and even Winnie the Pooh designs.
We’ve also got new Apple Watch band patterns to choose from, as well as a new magnet. You can pick whichever fits your personal style the best!
Star Traders
First up at Star Traders, there’s a new Black Tie-Dye Castle Tank for $36.99. It has a Mickey logo in the center and a fun rainbow print of Cinderella Castle on the bottom. It might be a great shirt to wear on those unbearably hot summer days in the parks!
When you’re hiking all around the parks, sometimes you want a hands-free way to store your belongings. Now, there are two new ways to do that with the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar Lanyard…
…and the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar ID Holder with Zipcord! Themed to one of the most classic Disney treats, who could resist them?
You can get either one of these new accessories for $22 in Tomorrowland.
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
One of the most popular souvenirs to bring home from Disney World are the Christmas ornaments, and you can find dozens of them in Liberty Square at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. This week, two new ones arrived! The first has Minnie Mouse dressed as a doctor…
…while the second has Mickey Mouse dressed as a mechanic. How fun! We would love to see more of these occupation-based character ornaments. (Do you think they could make one for food bloggers? 😉)
You can grab either of these for $22.99.
The Emporium
Love those fun, tacky button-up shirts? Well, for a new addition to the 50th Anniversary collection, Disney collaborated with Reyn Spooner to create this bold pattern with Mickey and his friends. You can get one for $115.
For those who were fans of Pixar’s Turning Red, there’s a new Meilin Lee Plush in The Emporium for $26.99. We found it on the display with the other Turning Red items.
And if you want to add to your Disney mug collection, we spotted a new Adventure is Out There Clear Mug!
This Up-themed design is available for $14.99.
Uptown Jewelers
Several new things arrived in Uptown Jewelers in the past few days. First up, there’s the Ms. Marvel dress for $128.
There were also several new Pandora charms, including a Pirates of the Caribbean design for $85, a Minnie Ear Headband for $75, a ‘vacation’ charm for $80, and one that says “My Happy Place” for $75.
Besides those, there’s a new Lilo and Stitch Charm for $85…
…as well as a new Lilo and Stitch bracelet for $90. If you buy one, it’ll be hard to resist buying the other!
There are many exclusive Disney World Pandora charms, so if you’ve got a small collection, make sure to take a look on your next visit to the parks to see what you can find!
Fantasy Faire
Not a Minnie ear person? Or maybe you’re just looking for a way to keep that intense Florida sun off the top of your head? Well, now there’s a new bucket hat available in Fantasy Faire!
This “Dreamer” design is available for $29.99. We love that soft pastel color — perfect for summer!
Sir Mickey’s
And finally, Sir Mickey’s got a new t-shirt for girls, the BFF Kinda Thing Tee with some of our favorite Disney Princesses. It has Ariel, Rapunzel, AND Tiana!
You can grab this one for $19.99 in the store.

I hope Disney took some time to reimagine the WDW Railroad trip around the park. The back side behind the MK after Thunder Mountain is a tragedy. It needs some serious improvement here.
Cindy says
Hey DFB is there anywhere in WDW that has churro toffee? How about the snickerdoodle cookie? I really miss these things which are in Marceline’s Sweet Shop (Downtown Disney) Trolley Treats (Disney California Adventure) and the Candy Palace (Main Street in Disneyland). I did find the churro cookie at Goofy’s Candy Co., Disney Springs, but have not found the other items.
