Disney World and Disneyland both have incredible theming that helps makes the parks feel as magical as they do.
We’ve seen many partnerships happen between Disney and many companies over the years. Most recently Disney partnered with WeatherFlow-Tempest, which may change the way the weather is handled in the parks, and Disney’s also had long-running partnerships with Pandora Jewelry and Coca-Cola. Now, Disney has partnered with PPG — a paint company!
Business Wire reports that PPG has entered a multi-year agreement with Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. PPG is now recognized as the Official Paint of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, as well as the Official Paints, Finishes, and Coatings Provider of both parks as well. The companies have a history of over 50 years of collaboration.
Carlos Castro, vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances said, “We’re thrilled to enter into a parks alliance with PPG, expanding upon our decades-long relationship and years of teamwork.” Many PPG paints can already be seen throughout the parks, and over 30,000 unique paint colors were created by the company to bring the sights we know and love so much to life.
If you’re taking a trip to either park in the near future, be sure to dress for the summer heat and load on that sunscreen! Also, prepare for some longer waits due to summer crowds, and if you choose to use Disney Genie+ to bypass them, you can read our guide on how to master it before your trip! Bummer. I wish they would renew their contract with Behr. I still have the Disney paint chips from when that was there, and Home Depot will still match the colors.
