If you’re all about grabbing those limited-time Disney World treats, then you’ll want to hurry into the parks this month!
That’s because it’s Pride Month, and Disney World has brought out all kinds of rainbow Pride merchandise and Pride-themed drinks and snacks to celebrate. We’ve been eating a LOT of Pride snacks, and now we’re back with another review!
This snack comes courtesy of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s a Pride Cupcake made with Confetti vanilla cake, cotton candy mousse, vanilla buttercream, and a zebra rainbow-print white chocolate Mickey. It certainly looks the part — it’s positively VIBRANT.
But what matters most is how it tastes, right? We found the cake to be moist — it even had a hint of a fruity flavor (sort-of some strawberry taste there!). The buttercream was just standard frosting with sprinkles underneath that added a little bit of crunch. The white chocolate decoration was…well…fine. Nothing spectacular, but not bad.
However, the filling, which we assume is the cotton candy mousse, was very dense, almost like a cream cheese frosting. We won’t lie — the texture reminded us of Play-Doh, especially as it didn’t really have much flavor. Personally, we think this cupcake would’ve been better without it. So if you get this cupcake, just be prepared to face that really dense and not really flavorful filling in the center!
Overall, the cupcake was good and could be one that fans of funfetti or sprinkle cakes will like. But the filling was strangely harder than frosting and lacked flavor.
You can try it for yourself over at Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, and Creature Comforts for $5.99. It will be available in Animal Kingdom until June 30th. If you give it a try, be sure to come back to this post and tell us your thoughts!
If you want to know about other ways to celebrate Pride in Disney World, be sure to check out our list of EVERYTHING going on throughout the resort this month.
We’ve also shared a list of all the food coming to Disneyland Resort for Pride Month if you happen to be on the West Coast.
Can’t get to Disney World, remember that Disney is donating all proceeds of Pride merchandise (including merchandise from shopDisney) sold through June 30th to causes that benefit LGBTQ+ youth, so you can do some shopping online for the pride merchandise if you’d like.

We liked it! I didn’t notice the filling being hard on ours. It was a lot of very sweet frosting though! We have big sweet teeth so it was good for us but could be too much for some.

My husband and I enjoyed one at the ABC Commissary in DHS last week. It was beautiful, but you could tell the cupcakes were or had been frozen. Ours, was cold and the white creamy center was hard as a rock. It wasn’t a bad experience but for the money could have been better. At least the buttercream was very tasty and not too sweet.
