UPDATED October 17, 2024
Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland welcomes all lords and ladies, knights and princesses, and — perhaps more than any other land in all of Disney World — the child in all of us.
Here we can take a magical nighttime flight over London, go under the sea, take a spin in a teacup, and remind ourselves that “it’s a small world after all.”
Bring your sense of wonder along as we explore all the rides, entertainment, and eateries that Fantasyland has to offer!
Fantasyland Attractions
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
If you look from the direct center of Main Street, U.S.A., you can get a peek of it spinning in the distance just beyond Cinderella Castle… Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is a treasure of a merry-go-round featuring 90 horses — each beautifully and uniquely decorated — donning vibrant colors and garlands, all ready to carry royalty.
This historic attraction was built in 1917 and was originally known as the Liberty Carrousel at Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan, and was an Opening Day Attraction (October 1, 1971) in Magic Kingdom.
HIDDEN SECRETS! If you look for the horse with a golden ribbon wrapped around its tail, then congratulations… you’ve found Cinderella’s horse!

Enchanted Tales with Belle
Step inside the cottage of Maurice and Belle (and through a Magic Mirror) to enjoy a live retelling of Beauty and the Beast with help from Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Belle herself… and maybe even YOU. It’s Enchanted Tales with Belle!
Belle appears as Lumiere tells the story of Beauty and the Beast with help from audience volunteers! While this is not a traditional Meet-and-Greet, it’s still a WONDERFUL character experience with a photo opportunity as a part of it.

Under the Sea — Journey of The Little Mermaid
Is Sebastian the crab correct? Is life truly “THE BUBBLES Under the Sea?” Well, we know one way you can find out… by boarding your very own clamshell and winding through the Journey of The Little Mermaid.
See friends like Ariel, Prince Eric, Scuttle, Flounder, and many, MANY more nautical pals and come part of their world through songs and sea creatures depicting scenes from the beloved film.
HIDDEN SECRETS! There are several hidden Mickeys surrounding the area of Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid. There’s a hidden Steamboat Willie in the queue, as well as a hidden Mickey that only appears on Mickey’s birthday. (That’s some SERIOUS Imagineering skill right there… just ONE date a year when it’s easily visible!) You may also spot a hidden Nautilus or two — a tribute to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Submarine Voyage that occupied the space before this ride.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
“Heigh-HOOOOOOO!!!” Zoom around and through a glittering mine filled with dazzling jewels (not to mention SEVEN Dwarfs) on the family-friendly roller coaster that is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been among the most in-demand attractions in Magic Kingdom ever since it opened in 2014.
GOOD TO KNOW: The tallest hill on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is 39 feet. Because of the way the coaster is constructed, you go into the drop on a curve, so it’s not necessarily the stomach churning thrill you might get on a larger roller coaster. This coaster reaches a top speed of 34 miles per hour, and much of the ride moves more slowly than that. Even though the coaster reaches about 3 1/2 stories at its highest point and goes through a dark tunnel, we do not think it will be considered scary by very many people, including small children.
Height requirement: 38 inches
Ages: Kids, Tweens, Teens, and Adults
Access: Standby Line; Lightning Lane Premier Pass option and Lightning Lane Single Pass option
On-ride Attraction Photo by Disney PhotoPass: Yes
“it’s a small world”
Take a relaxing voyage by boat on “The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed!” “it’s a small world” is a truly quintessential Magic Kingdom Opening Day attraction that should not be missed.
You’ll sail through the seven continents surrounded by dancing dolls dressed in beautiful costumes representing various counties and cultures as you enjoy the distinctive design work of Mary Blair and the attraction’s signature song by the Sherman Brothers.

Ages: All
Access: Standby Line; Lightning Lane Premier Pass option and Lightning Lane Multi Pass Tier 2 option
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Hop in a Hunny Pot and bounce-bounce-bounce your way through The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh!
Friends from Hundred Acre Wood will join you in this slow-ride adventure including Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore, Piglet… aaaand, let’s see… who am I forgetting? Oh, that’s right… TIGGER, TOO!
FUN FACT! On The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, as you’re heading into Owl’s house near the end of the ride, look to your left and you’ll notice a photo of Mr. Toad handing the deed for the attraction over to Owl. This is a tribute to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride which was previously located in the same spot Pooh now occupies.

Ages: All

Uh-Oh! The Great Goofini is taking YOU along for the ride in his aerial stunt show where things may get a little… well, GOOFY!

Dumbo the Flying Elephant
We’ve already flown with Peter Pan, and now it’s time to SOAR with Dumbo the Flying Elephant! Use the levers in your flying pal to move up and down, and be sure to take in the magical views when you’re up in the air.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant was an original Magic Kingdom Opening Day attraction. But even elephants might crave some change from time to time. These days, there is a DUO of Dumbo rides to accommodate more guests, and everyone can also enjoy some air-conditioning thanks to the addition of a nearby circus-tent-meets-play-area as they await their chance to SOAR!
LOOK DOWN! Next time you’re strolling through Fantasyland near Dumbo, look down. You’ll spot horse and wagon tracks as well as peanuts stuck in the ground. It IS a circus, after all!

Ages: All
Access: Standby Line; Lightning Lane Premier Pass option and Lightning Lane Multi Pass Tier 2 option
Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station
Fair warning: Don’t take the word “SOAK” lightly in the name of the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station!
This outdoor water play area and splash zone can provide the fun and cooling experience that the kids might crave on a hot day.
FUN FACT! The little train that could from Dumbo has a sneaky secret. Each one of Casey Jr’s train cars has a two-digit number on it. These 4 numbers are the years the 4 Disney World parks opened! Magic Kingdom in ’71, EPCOT in ’82, Hollywood Studios in ’89, and Animal Kingdom in ’98.

Fantasyland Dining
Table Service Restaurants
Dining inside Cinderella Castle is truly an experience every Disney fan should have at least once. And that’s the chance that Cinderella’s Royal Table presents to all the lords and ladies visiting Magic Kingdom!
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Royal Table presents a Character Meal with several Disney Princesses.
Though characters may vary, Princesses spotted at this restaurant have included Ariel, Aurora, Jasmine, and Snow White. And Cinderella herself greets all guests before the prix-fixe meal!
But would believe that there are not one, but TWO Castles where you can dine in Magic Kingdom? The other is also in Fantasyland at Be Our Guest Restaurant!
Be Our Guest Restaurant has enchanted guests ever since it opened, delivering French-inspired cuisine right inside of the Beast’s castle from the beloved animated film Beauty and the Beast. The completely immersive atmosphere is simply unmatched, and provides a stunning setting in which to enjoy the restaurant’s prix-fixe lunch and dinner offerings.
Counter Service Restaurants
The Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is a hidden gem of a counter service location tucked within view of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
This spot has a knack for changing up the menu, which currently features Loaded Tater Tots and Hot Dogs along with Mac and Cheese and Bratwurst. Hot breakfast items are often served here, too.
Pinocchio Village Haus is a great place to take a breather while enjoying some truly beautiful artwork commemorating the classic Disney film, Pinocchio.
And you can even watch the boats from “it’s a small world” set sail while you dine on Italian Counter Service fare.
HIDDEN GEM: If you dine in Pinocchio Village Haus, make sure to check for the wish book in the dining area. This book is located in the back left side of the restaurant, and is left there so that guests can write their wishes inside!
Snack Stops and Kiosk
Just steps away from the Mad Tea Party is a whimsical snack spot called Cheshire Cafe.
You’ll find treats inspired by Alice in Wonderland here.
If you’re looking for a Cinnamon Roll that’s “roughly the size of a barge…”
… then head straight to Gaston’s Tavern!
Storybook Treats serve up soft-serve ice cream.
Many of these cold treats are inspired by Disney characters!
Prince Eric’s Village Market serves up HUGE Turkey Legs and Jumbo Pretzels.
You’ll find fruit snacks here, too, for some better-for-you fare.
Look no further than under the BIG TOP in Storybook Circus for Big Top Treats! This is the place to find house-made caramel corn (!!) plus other yummy confectionery classics like cotton candy, Disney character apples, and more.
Big Top Treats also has a show kitchen so you can watch the cast members as they create sweet treats right before your eyes!
And finally, Belle’s father is popping up some goodies…
Stop by Maurice’s Amazing Popping Machine for some buttery popcorn or a Mickey Ice Cream Bar!
See it ALL in our Fantasyland Food Tour from our DFB YouTube Channel!

And guests can greet The Little Mermaid herself at Ariel’s Grotto!
Meet Classic Characters
Daring Disney Pals that you’ll encounter at Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus include Minnie Magnifique, Daisy Fortuna, The Astounding Donaldo, and The Great Goofini under the Big Top!
Meet More Fairytale Friends
You’ll find the Thotful Spot as you make your way towards The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It’s here where Winnie the Pooh — and Tigger, too! — are ready to give hugs and pose with you for pictures!
It’s “OFF TO NEVER LAND” to meet Peter Pan by Peter Pan’s Flight!
Mirabel from Encanto now has her own meet-and-greet in Magic Kingdom!
She is meeting guests in Fairytale Garden (on the right pathway into Fantasyland when you’re facing Cinderella Castle) which has been “transformed with whimsical decor inspired by La Familia Madrigal.”
Cinderella Castle Stage Shows and Entertainment
Technically speaking, the vantage point for the many shows that are performed on the Cinderella Castle Stage are actually on Main Street, U.S.A. However, we want to share the shows that take place at Cinderella Castle, which is the gateway to Fantasyland, after all!
Showtimes can be found in the My Disney Experience app and on Information Boards posted throughout the park.

More Magic in Fantasyland
Mosaics in Cinderella Castle
There are a few pathways by which to enter Fantasyland. You can enter the Land coming from either Tomorrowland or Liberty Square, and there are paths that wind around the Castle, as well. But don’t miss the chance to walk THROUGH Cinderella Castle!
The gorgeous and colorful mosaics tell the story of Cinderella in truly stunning detail, beginning with her time with Lady Tremaine (Cinderella’s stepmother) and Anastasia and Drizella (her stepsisters).
But don’t you fret, because the story continues…
… all the way to Cinderella’s HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
Cinderella Wishing Well
Be sure to make a wish at the Cinderella Wishing Well! Guests will find the wishing well tucked in an alcove on the pathway from Tomorrowland to the right of the castle.
Tossing a coin in the well to make your wish can be a fun and unique way to make a memory with your family. And to make this moment even sweeter, all of the coins tossed into the well are collected and donated to children’s charities in Orlando.
Cinderella Fountain
Save a few of those coins, though, to toss in the Cinderella Fountain in Fantasyland to make a wish, too! (You’ll find her near the back of the Castle.)
FUN FACT! When looking at Cinderella from the height of an adult, Cinderella appears as a normal girl. But, from the height of a child…
… she has a crown on her head!
Tangled Area
YES, we are about to chat about RESTROOMS… but these aren’t just any restrooms. Fantasyland has Tangled-themed restrooms!
We also mention this area because there’s an unofficial scavenger hunt where guests can look for hidden Pascals (and friends)!
He’s a clever little chameleon, so he can be tricky to spot!
Of course, you’ll want to gaze at Rapunzel’s tower in the distance during your search in this truly charming area…
GOOD TO KNOW! In the same area, you’ll notice a seating area made of “tree stumps”. These tree stumps have charging ports and outlets on their sides, so this is a great place to relax and charge up.
The Sword in the Stone
In front of Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel, as you’re facing the Castle you’ll find the Sword in the Stone — inspired by the legends of Camelot and King Arthur.
You, too, can grasp the hilt of Excalibur and see if you can pry it from the stone and be crowned King (or Queen) of all England, as the legend goes…
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
The ultimate Royal makeover awaits your special Princess or Brave Knight at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
Watch as your little one is magically transformed into Disney Royalty with the help of their very own Fairy Godmother Apprentice! Find reservation information, as well as pricing and more for the Boutique here.
Smellephants on Parade
Smellephants on Parade has arrived at Storybook Circus! Disney shared, “When entering Storybook Circus, guests will stumble upon a casting call posted by Timothy Q. Mouse, seeking out a “Whiff-sistant” to join Dumbo’s newest act. At the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs, a cast member will provide guests with an illustrated map of the land and a sticker sheet to guide them in their first task as a Whiff-sistant.”
From there, you’ll track down eight Smellephant statues around Storybook Circus while using your map and stickers to track your progress.
Sniffers will pick up on fragrances provided by Scentsy such as Churro, Cotton Candy, and more. Check out Smellephants on Parade HERE!
