Disney World is home to some truly spectacular restaurants!
We consider ourselves to be Disney food experts at this point, but you don’t have to take our word for it alone — many of the restaurants on Disney World property are award-winning. Several places have been awarded recognition from the Michelin Guide in the past, and this year, we can add even more dining spots to that count!
According to the Orlando Sentinel, four Orlando area restaurants were each awarded a Michelin Star on Thursday night. Shoutout to our friend @tastychomps on Instagram where we first saw this information! One of those restaurants is Capa, located at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando on Walt Disney World property. The rooftop steakhouse is known for its wood-fired prime cuts and unique Spanish-influenced cuisine.
On top of the four Michelin Star winners, 7 restaurants received the Bib Gourmand distinction, and an additional 23 restaurants received the “plate” recommendation. The Michelin selection includes all the restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide, which only features restaurants that they’re “impressed by” according to the Chief Inspector. On the list of 23 “plate” recommendations, multiple spots are located in Disney World.
In that category, California Grill, Citricos, Morimoto Asia, The Polite Pig, Ravello (at the Four Seasons), and Sear + Sea (at JW Marriot Bonnet Creek) all made the list. These restaurants are typically among those listed as having some of the best food in Disney World, so it comes as no surprise that they earned such a high honor!
These awards are a big deal in the world of fine dining, and we’re interested to see how this impacts their popularity in the coming months. Several Disney World restaurants have been awarded recognition from Michelin before, and multiple spots at Disney Springs were Michelin Starred in the past.
Of course, if you’re looking for a fancy meal in Disney World, there are several signature restaurants that you could check out, each with a unique menu. These spots are usually among the hardest reservations to get for your vacation, and typically come with a hefty price tag, so they’re probably best visited for a special occasion. That would be most days!
Paula says
Get rid of Chepak NOW
Ken says
Agreed, Chepak is the wrong guy. I like Ken Potrock as successor. He did a good job over at DVC, Merchandising, DCL and DI. He is now in charge of DL in CA.
Mia says
Had one of the worst meals at California Grill. Waste of money. And the polite pig?!! Really?!!
Mary says
For those whom are shocked about The Polite Pig being mentioned. The side dishes are excellent!

The Polite Pig is literally my favorite restaurant on property!
