Ever wondered what Disney World does to celebrate the 4th of July? Well, we’re experiencing it ALL and taking you along with us (of course!).
For starters, Disney releases lots of red, white and blue snacks right around the holiday. Whether it’s cupcakes, cookies, or tarts you’re after, Disney’s got it! There are also 4th of July ears you can pick up, 4th of July plushes, and some other merchandise to check out. We’ve also been excited about the return of 4th of July fireworks to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. This year, we went to check out the 4th of July fireworks at Magic Kingdom and we’re sharing ALL of the information with you.
In 2022, the 4th of July fireworks returned to Magic Kingdom for a very limited time. These fireworks are only available July 3rd and 4th, 2022. That’s just 2 days to catch a SUPER limited time fireworks show. So, what is this show like? Well, we went to watch it on July 3rd — come with us to experience it all!
The 4th of July fireworks show in Magic Kingdom is called “Disney’s Celebrate America — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” There was a pretty big crowd there watching the fireworks along with us on the 3rd. These limited-time fireworks events can be very popular so be sure to keep that in mind when making your plans.
Before the official start of the fireworks, there was quite the party scene with music, a DJ on the castle stage, and more!

There were lots of fun effects on and near the Castle throughout this show.
From projections of stars to all kinds of smaller and larger fireworks and smoke effects, there was a lot to take in.
You can expect to see lots of red, white, and blue fireworks incorporated into the show.
It is the 4th of July after all!
During the show, you’ll hear lots of songs played that are specifically designed to fit this holiday celebration, like The Star Spangled Banner.

If you missed this exclusive fireworks show, we hope you enjoyed our photos and video.
Remember that the show will be available in 2022 on July 4th as well. But then it’ll disappear until it’s time for the show to (hopefully) return once again for the 4th of July in 2023. It’s truly one of Disney World’s most exclusive fireworks shows!
Disney Enchantment will fill the skies above Magic Kingdom once again starting July 5th.
Don’t forget that crowds exiting the park can be substantial, and Disney transportation lines can get very busy.
Make sure you give yourself lots of time to get from the park to your hotel, and bring loooooots of patience with you!
If you want to see the 4th of July fireworks in 2023, you can already get started on your planning! 2023 vacation packages are already available for booking. Maybe now is the time to set up that trip so you’ve got it all squared away well ahead of next year’s festivities!
If you’re just waiting for fall and the next big holiday to arrive in Disney World, be sure to check out all the Halloween happenings coming to Disney World this year, including new merchandise and the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
