We recently shared the news that actress and singer Olivia Newton-John passed away at the age of 73.
Her husband, John Easterling, announced on Facebook that Newton-John “passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends.” There’s no doubt that she left behind quite the legacy, and now, her Grease co-star John Travolta has shared a touching tribute to the late actress.
Olivia Newton-John was a powerhouse of talent and was best known for her role as Sandy in Grease, opposite John Travolta who played Danny.
Travolta shared a heartfelt message to the late actress, sharing that her “impact was incredible.” The full statement reads:
“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
Newton-John’s family didn’t share her cause of death, but she did have a public battle with breast cancer in 1992, which she announced had returned 25 years later. She was a strong advocate for “cancer research and awareness.”
Our thoughts are with Olivia Newton-John’s family and loved ones at this time.
