Football season is HERE, so it’s time to begin thinking about what food you’re going to have during your football watch parties!
Here at DFB, we’ve compiled tons of Disney recipes over the years and are always looking for more. We have recipes to make the iconic Dole Whip, Mickey macarons, and more. Now, we’re rounding up some of the best Disney recipes to kick off football season.
In our opinion, football is all about finger foods, so a lot of our list is comprised of finger foods with a few exceptions, so let’s dive in!
Chicken Wings
Is there anything that pairs better with football than chicken wings? If you want to Disney-fy your Football Sunday, then check out this recipe for Aunt Cass’s Spicy Chicken Wings inspired by Big Hero 6!
These wings are pretty simple to make and only require five ingredients.
To make them, you’ll coat the wings with garlic powder and vegetable oil and stick them in the oven. While they’re baking, you’ll make the spicy sauce and toss the wings in it when they’re done baking.

Spinach and Ricotta Mickey Pinwheels
Not a fan of chicken wings? No problem! You can make these Spinach and Ricotta Mickey Pinwheels instead.
This recipe is a little more complicated than the chicken wings and requires some more ingredients, as well. The steps are a little more complicated, as well, but these would be a great addition to a football watch party!

Disneyland’s Fried Pickles
Fried pickles can be a great snack for any occasion, but especially for a football game!
For this recipe, you’ll be making two separate things: the pickles themselves, and then a dipping sauce for the pickles. In order to make the pickles, you’ll be frying them in a skillet, so make sure to be careful when doing that!

Cheeseburger Pods
Want to incorporate a little bit of Disney’s Animal Kingdom into your football party? Then we have the perfect recipe for you! You can make the iconic Cheeseburger Pods from Satul’i Canteen at Animal Kingdom.
These look like they could be difficult to make, but we use a shortcut to make it a little bit easier and instead of making bao buns from scratch, we use canned biscuit dough!
You’ll start by cooking the ground beef and adding in the ketchup, mustard, and relish. You’ll then add in the cheese, and when you’re done with that, it’s time to start assembling your pods!

Sanaa Bread Service
If you’re wishing that you were spending your Football Sunday at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge, then you can just make the famous Sanaa bread service from home!
With this recipe, you’ll learn how to make Naan bread and Cucumber Raita, which is a dipping sauce. Then, you can either make or purchase more dipping sauces for the Naan bread!

Colombian Cheese Fritters
You can bring a touch of Encanto to your next football party with Disney’s Colombian Cheese Fritters recipe!
For this recipe, you’ll be making the fritters and then frying them in a pan. When they’re done, they will be the perfect finger food whether you’ll be watching football at home or heading to a watch party.

Walt Disney’s Famous Chili
Alright, we know we said this list would be mostly finger foods, but you can’t have football without chili! Chili is the perfect fall food, so if you’re looking for the perfect chili recipe to try out this football season, consider Walt Disney’s Famous Chili.
This was one of Walt Disney’s favorite recipes and you can still get it at Carnation Cafe in Disneyland. This recipe is the same chili as what you can get in Disneyland, with a few of our own touches.

Karamell-Küche Gingerbread Cookie Sandwich
What would be football without a little dessert? If you’re having guests over to watch the game, then you’ll want something that can be served individually to make it easier, which is why our Copycat Karamell-Küche Gingerbread Cookie Sandwich is perfect!
Not only can this be served individually, but gingerbread is the perfect fall flavor, so it’s a win-win. These might look like they’d be hard to make, but they’re actually pretty easy!

Krakatoa Punch
And for a bonus, you can make the Krakatoa Punch from Trader Sam’s!

Fall means more than just football season, especially at Disney World! Fall, of course, means that Halloween is on its way, and you can celebrate Halloween in Disney World at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Fall also means the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has returned, as well, so there’s a lot to do in Disney World this fall!

Just a heads up for anyone hoping to get a souvenir cup while visiting Trader Sam’s Grotto Grog at the Polynesian – there are certain ones not available for purchase due to “supply issues” – you can still get the Pearl, Zombie and Nautilus cups though.
