We’ve been waiting for what feels like FOREVER for Fantasmic! to return to Hollywood Studios in Disney World.

We’ve kept an eye on construction, and Disney even said the show would be returning, but they didn’t give us any update on when that could possibly be except for saying that it would happen in 2022. We also found out that NEW things would be coming to the show when it returns, and now, we FINALLY might see the reopening of the show SOON!
Cast rehearsals have BEGUN for Fantasmic! in Disney World! Disney Parks posted about it on Instagram today.
This means that we SHOULD see the return of the nighttime show very soon, people!

We still don’t have an official opening date, but we’ll let you know as soon as Disney announces it.

For now, let’s talk about what we DO know! Disney said that an entire segment of the show will be replaced when it returns. It will have new characters, stunt performers, animation, and more! The new show sequence will have Disney characters like Pocahontas, Aladdin, Mulan, Moana, and Elsa.

There will also be some new tech involved with the show! We don’t have all of the details yet, but we have seen a bunch of work be done to the theater and set pieces, which you can take a look at right here!
