Picture this: you’re walking right past the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom when you get the strongest urge for…a McDonald’s Egg McMuffin? Or maybe you’re strolling through Magic Kingdom and suddenly crave Taco Bell nachos! If you thought you wouldn’t be able to satisfy those fast food cravings in Disney World, you’d be…WRONG!
Disney World is full of amazing food, but sometimes all you want is a treat that tastes like the fast food you know and love. Well, Disney can deliver in that department too. Today we’re going through our list of fast food dupes you probably never realized you could get in Disney World!
1 — McDonald’s Hamburgers in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Got the sudden urge to bite into a McDonald’s hamburger while hanging out in Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Head over to Satu’li Canteen in Pandora — The World of Avatar to satisfy that itch with their fan-favorite Cheeseburger Steamed Pods!
These little bao bun beauties do NOT disappoint. Essentially, they’ve got all the flavors of a McDonald’s cheeseburger stuffed inside of a deliciously soft and slightly sweet bao bun.
The pods are filled with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar Cheese and served with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Vegetable Chips. They’ve got a strong mustard and pickle flavor and are a BIG favorite of ours and many Disney guests. If you love McDonald’s hamburgers, you won’t want to miss these!
Pro tip: you can grab an adult’s version (2 pods) or a kids’ version (1 pod) of this dish depending on how hungry you are!

2 — Panera Mac & Cheese at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Looking for something warm, filling, and comforting, like a bowl of Panera’s Mac & Cheese? Hop on over to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and make your way to Gasparilla Island Grill for their ahhhhhmazing house-made mac & cheese!
It might look unassuming, but this is truly one of the BEST plates of pasta in all of Disney World. This dish is creamy and the cheese THICCCK, and nestled within all of that cheese are heaps of elbow macaroni. It’s the ultimate in comfort food.

3 — Popeyes Fried Chicken Sandwich at Disney Springs
Okay, okay, we know that for those who absolutely worship Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs, comparing this spot’s Fried Chicken Sandwich to Popeyes Fried Chicken Sandwich might be sacrilegious. But, the point we’re trying to make here is that if you absolutely LOVE Popeyes Fried Chicken Sandwich (or another fast food chicken sandwich that has entered the fried chicken sandwich wars), the version at Homecomin’ is NOT to be missed.
Y’all, there are no words. The chicken is Buttermilk-brined for 24 hours and hand-battered, then it’s dressed with hot sauce, aioli, iceberg lettuce, tomato, and bread and butter pickles. Plus, it’s served with house-made barbecue chips drizzled with icebox dressing. The bun is delicious, the chicken has so much crunch, it’s juicy, and overall it is just a total WIN.
Given the deliciousness of the fried chicken at Homecomin’ in general, plus the particularly tasty nature of this sandwich, you may take one bite and become a Homecomin’ fan for life, with LOTS of return visits in your future. Don’t say we didn’t warn ya!

4 — McDonald’s Fries at EPCOT
Cravings for McDonald’s fries can be VERY strong and real. If you’re anywhere in Disney World, an order of Disney fries from a standard quick service restaurant could do the trick. Several members of our team shared that they find Disney’s standard fries to be pretty comparable to those at McDonald’s.
You used to be able to get ACTUAL McDonald’s fries in Disney World, but sadly those days are over, so regular Disney fries will have to do for now. 😢
But if you want an extra close comparison, one member of our team shared that they’re CONVINCED that the fries served as part of the Traditional Poutine over at Refreshment Port in EPCOT taste just like McDonald’s fries (toppings aside, of course).
Give them a try and see if you feel like these have an extra special similarity to McDonald’s fries.

5 — Taco Bell Nachos in Magic Kingdom
Sometimes there’s nothing better than some cheesy nachos from Taco Bell, and if it’s nachos you’re after, Magic Kingdom is a good place to be. Head over to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in the Most Magical Place on Earth and grab the Beef Nachos for a similar feel.
These nachos come with tortilla chips covered in seasoned ground beef and queso, plus lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, shredded cheese, and salsa on the side. The beef makes the nachos really greasy, so it’s pretty on point with Taco Bell. 😂 Just be warned that the grease can make the chips get a bit soggy, so eat them fast.
The queso is basically a leveled-up version of plastic cheese with great seasoning and creaminess to it. Unfortunately, our chips haven’t always been the best here — sometimes they’ve felt a little stale — but if nachos are what you’re craving, these could do the trick.

6 — McDonald’s Egg McMuffin in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Start your day the right way at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a breakfast that’ll make you feel like you just swung by your favorite McDonald’s — in a good way! If it’s an Egg McMuffin you’re after, stop by Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes for their English Muffin breakfast options.
There’s a Sausage and Egg English Muffin with Eggs, American Cheese, and Sausage on a toasted English Muffin, or a version with Egg Whites, American Cheese, and Tomato on a toasted English Muffin.
Plus they’re served with little hash brown bites to truly complete your breakfast experience.
This is a spot that can often get overlooked, but if you need a quick breakfast in the park it might be a place to consider.

7 — Sonic Cherry Limeade at Disney’s BoardWalk
It might not have Sonic’s famous ice (😭 ) but the Cherry Limeade at BoardWalk Deli at Disney’s BoardWalk can still be a sweet and refreshing way to cool off!
This drink is made with Amarena Cherry, Cold-pressed Lime Juice, and Sparkling Water. The lime isn’t super strong, but you still get some tartness to balance out the sweet cherry.
While it might not be identical to Sonic’s famous drink, it could hit the spot if you’re in the middle of Disney World and craving a bit of that same feel.

8 — Arby’s Fries in Disney Springs
And finally, we end our list with Arby’s Fries in Disney Springs! No, seriously! Okay, well the Air Fries from the Local Green Orlando Food Truck in Disney Springs aren’t exactly the same as Arby’s Fries (particularly since they’re not curly) but they do capture a similar flavor profile.
These fries are absolutely OUTSTANDING. They’re crispy, crunchy, and delicious. Plus, they have a little bit of a kick thanks to some chili and garlic seasoning. Seriously, these might be some of the BEST fries in all of Disney World.

Honorable Mention: The Walking Taco in Magic Kingdom
We didn’t officially include this as a “dupe” because…well…it’s not really a dupe. The Walking Taco at Magic Kingdom’s Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe IS truly a Walking Taco.
If you’re not familiar with walking tacos, they’re basically a fair-type food that is easy to carry around and eat on the go. This dish at Disney World is made of a bag of Fritos Scoops, topped with ground beef, yellow rice, black beans, cheddar, jalapeno, tomato, and sour cream (a.k.a. a Frito Pie in a bag).
While it’s a simple option, we REALLY enjoyed this entree. The Fritos stayed crunchy, it was served hot, there were lots of toppings to enjoy, and the flavors were spot on.
But if you really want to take things to the next level, order a side of queso to go with your walking taco, and prepare to have your mind and taste buds blown away!
That queso addition is typically only $1 so it’s something you could totally add to tons of other dishes at Pecos Bill too!
