It has been a big year for Disney World, with new additions in the form of restaurants and rides, as well as the 100th anniversary celebration! Because of this, travel to Orlando has been quite popular recently!
And since travel is so heavy, the Orlando International Airport is in the middle of a rather large expansion, adding on a NEW Terminal C. We’ve gotten a glimpse at many aspects of this addition already, but now we know what the security area will look like!
The new screening checkpoint will be more automated and technologically advanced than others in use at the airport currently. MCO shared a video of what we can expect from the security experience on Twitter.
The new automated screening lanes at TSA's security checkpoint in Terminal C, will improve customers' experience by:
– Improving passenger flow
– Ensuring speedy processing
– Preventing the frequency of items left behind

According to the tweet, the automated lanes will help improve passenger flow, ensure speedy processing through the queue, and make it so that fewer items are left behind at security. This is due to the fact that the bins can detect when items are left inside, and will not collect back into the pile until all items are removed.
This technology could be a big help in ensuring you get through security quickly when traveling. Make sure to check out our posts on the offerings before you visit.
