MagicBand+ is the latest new tech in Disney World. These next-generation MagicBands come with all kinds of new features — they interact with the 50th anniversary statues, light up along with nighttime shows, and allow you to become a bounty hunter in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Of course, all of those new features don’t come for free. Most MagicBand+ designs cost more than the average MagicBand. However, there are a couple of ways to get the new bands for CHEAPER!
If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can buy some MagicBand+ designs for cheaper with a special pre-arrival price. We’ve already seen some options available at this lower price, but Disney just added a few NEW designs to the list! A big thanks to reader Joe (@schreiberjoe on Instagram) for alerting us to this.
All of the new designs have a spooky theme — just in time for Halloween. The newly discounted bands include a couple inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, with one for Jack Skellington…
…and one for Sally. We’ve seen both of these bands in Disney World already.
Both of these are normally $44.99, but if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can order these bands for $34.99 instead. You should see them available on your My Disney Experience account once you’ve booked your hotel stay.
The other MagicBand+ that’s now discounted as well is the Halloween band that’s covered in candy designs and has a skull in the center. This one is also $34.99, down from the normal $44.99.
Although these bands are available in Disney World, you’ll need to order them ahead of time in order to get the discounted price for guests of Disney World hotels. And if you want to see more MagicBand+ options, there are plenty available both online and in the parks! We recently found several new designs available on shopDisney.

The new bands are a no for us … what they do doesn’t seem worth it to us for the extra money. Not seeing particularly great reviews on them either.
Louise Herrick says
One thing to point out to readers is that we were unable to order the discounted Magic Bands as it said it was only available to those living in the USA & Canada. In the past they mailed the Magic Bands to those living there & the rest of us (we’re English) collected ours at the front desk on arrival. We can no longer do that.
