It’s SO important to stay on top of Disney World’s showtimes. Why? Because things change ALL THE TIME.
We don’t want you to get to Disney World only to realize that you missed your favorite parade, so we’re here to help you out! Three of Magic Kingdom’s parades are CHANGING in October, and here’s what you need to know.
If you like parades, you can currently catch Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade, the Festival of Fantasy Parade, and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade in Magic Kingdom on a daily basis (usually). Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade debuted with Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration, the Festival of Fantasy Parade recently returned, and the Adventure Friends Cavalcade debuted in February.
Beginning October 9th, Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade is moving to five showtimes per day (it was previously four), taking place at 10:45AM, 11:55AM, 1:40AM, 4:25PM, and 5:55PM. As a result, the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade are also getting showtime changes.
Instead of two showtimes a day, the Festival of Fantasy Parade will take place only once per day at 3PM beginning on October 9th. The parade received reduced showtimes in August too, so we’ll be watching closely for more updates from Disney.
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will continue to have one or two showtimes per day, depending on whether Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is happening in the park that night. On party nights, there will be one showtime at 5:10PM. When there’s no party, the cavalcade will run at 5:10PM and 6:25PM. Thanks to DFB reader Joe, who brought this to our attention.
You can catch Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade traveling from Frontierland through Liberty Square, around the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle, and finally down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom. Enjoy waving to Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale in their special EARidescent outfits!

Wow am I glad I went when I did. I missed the tropical storm AND the deletion of one of the FOF parades. I mean… that’s their biggest and best parade! Even if it is missing the Frozen & Tiana floats (which I’ve heard are ready to go from backstage people scuttlebutt). Given how often rain hits Florida, I’d imagine it’s better to have as many parades as possible to hedge your bets.
I do like the Adventure Friends Cavalcade, though. I’d missed the news on that one and had missed it a few times owing to its bad timing (5:10, 6:25, right at supper time and separated by barely an hour) but it’s the only chance to see Mirabel, Miguel, Mulan and most importantly, Elena!
And like… what are the parade performers gonna do now that one of their FOFs have been cancelled?
