Disney World has had a LOT of new snacks appear in the parks, and there are even more to come!
So pretty!
We’ve seen special food items for fall as well as Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, and now, there are a bunch of items coming for Halloween, too. Another event that’s bringing some new food to Disney World is EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary, so come along with us as we try out a special treat in honor of the celebration!
This is the Figment Sponge Cake from Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion! It’s a rainbow sponge cake with honey-lime mousse for $6.49.

This cake sure does look pretty, but how does it taste? Let’s find out!

The actual cake itself is not super moist, but it’s also not super dry either. It’s somewhere in the middle and was pretty average.
Meh
The mousse on the inside has a LOT of lime flavor — it’s really strong! It almost reminded us of lemon-lime.
Very limey
This flavor doesn’t really seem like something young kids would enjoy, unless they’re REALLY into lime.

There was also way too much of it, in our opinion. The ratio of mousse to cake was off!
Not our fave
The decorations on top are white chocolate for the wings and purple whipped cream, which adds even more sweetness to the dessert.
Figment cake
Overall, this treat is SUPER sweet and we can’t imagine you would enjoy this unless you have a major sweet tooth and really love lime flavors.
Too much!
