40 never looked so good, EPCOT!
If your Disney travel partners argue over whether to start World Showcase in Mexico or in Canada — well, this limited-time 40th celebration item is here to settle that debate!
Not to be overshadowed by Disney World’s 50th Celebration, Disney has released merchandise and some themed treats and drinks like the Figment Sponge Cake to mark the occasion for EPCOT’s monumental anniversary. Lots of the treats are super colorful, and the 40th Fiesta at Choza de Margarita is trying to show off, for sure.
But here’s the thing — this is the SAME as the Fiesta Margarita you could already get here, which is made with a combination of strawberry, classic lime, and mango loco. The 40th Fiesta just has the addition of Blue Agave Syrup which doesn’t add much additional flavor to the drink at all.
It’s heavy on the strawberry, and we couldn’t taste the mango. It’s still a pretty solid margarita, but there’s nothing extra special about it, except the color. It comes in a signature Mexico 40 souvenir glass, which could justify the $18 price tag if this is a must-have for you. If you’re not interested in the glass, though, just get the regular Fiesta Margarita for $13.25 and save a few dollars.
Don’t miss our other reviews of EPCOT snacks, including the Figment Sponge Cake, and the 40th Anniversary Liege Waffle!

Joe Public says
My first visit to Disneyland was in 1976. I’ve continued to visit the Park through the 80s and into the 90s with my own family and my own children. I have watched as it has progressively gone downhill. It’s truly unfortunate that a place that was originally built so that children could come and interact with their family and their parents has turned into such a mess. Backed by the woke progressive management, I have watched this park truly transform into something unrecognizable.
Disney, their parks, their movies are no longer about creating magic, they are about making statements and it is not good. Again, I have visited these parks watch their movies for over 40 years and things have gone downhill quickly. I truly believe that the founder, Walt, would not even recognize his park nor his productions that he built.
My most recent visit with family occurred in 2022. Seeing adults walk through the parks with alcoholic beverages in their hand is frankly, disgusting. I don’t think adults should be drinking around children. But that’s OK, because I didn’t SEE many children. What Disney has transformed into is a park that is frequented and packed with 30 & 40-year-old “children“. Adults that are running around with liquor in their hands, wearing the obligatory shorts, T-shirt and Disney ears, are packing the lines and have taken this park over and replaced any sign of children.
The employees, which used to be the GOLD standard. Manners were so presented in the parks that other companies emulated Disney in their fashion of how they treated guests. They didn’t even call them customers, they used to call them guests. And that’s how they were treated. Now, employees are dismissive, rude, or too busy talking amongst each other to even worry if you’re having a good time or not. The pricing is as always with Disney, through the roof and unreasonable. Ridiculously long wait lines, an average of 60 to 80 minutes for some rides. And the ticket prices that used to be a few dollars or now in the hundreds. It’s miserable and it’s no way to spend time with your family.
It’s sad to see such an entity that was originally built for children and families, now, has turned into this political platform and a place where adults have taken over and replaced the children and push the children out of the way. It’s sad and I think it’s truly a reflection of where this world is today. My dollars will be spent on other places and other films.
