There’s a lot to do in Disney World in October, whether you like to check out all the holiday decor, eat limited-time treats, attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, or just enjoy the slightly cooler weather. It’s important to review the Disney World calendar before your visit and you still need a Park Reservation to get into a park — so we’ve compiled that info right here just for you!

And Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open from 8AM to 8PM from October 9th to the 15th.

If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you’re looking at the same situation. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are sold out from October 9th to the 15th.
If you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder you have a different calendar of park pass availability. Next week, the Incredi Pass has no blockout dates with full park availability next week.
Sorcerer Passholders have full park reservation availability next week.
If you have the Pirate Pass you’re blocked out on October 9th and 10th, and the rest of the week has full availability.

This seems like a “Sensational” type of headline. We DO understand that for people just buying a ticket or who would book a hotel without park planning they would be blocked from the 2 most popular parks. For those of us with Pixie Dust passes know weekends are always blocked for us so in reality only the next day (Oct 10) was unavailable right now or less than 24 hours from now. Few book that late.

Yep. Fall breaks in the North. Like Spring break.

Disney artificially marks the two most popular parks as “sold out” so that they can sell more park hoppers to those guests who really want to visit these parks. This is why Disney loves the park reservation system.
