Although a holiday weekend isn’t a guarantee for large crowds in Disney World, it does make it more likely.
On previous holiday weekends, we’ve seen everything from large crowds to small crowds that surprised us. With Monday being a holiday, though, we have to wonder — what are the crowds like right now? Well, let’s find out!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Over in Animal Kingdom, we found a LOT of people at the entrance getting ready to enter the park. Yep, it looks like things might be pretty busy this weekend.
Even early in the morning, the wait time for Flight of Passage was already at 135 minutes.
However, over in DinoLand, U.S.A., the wait for Dinosaur wasn’t so bad — it was only 30 minutes.
Let’s see what things looked like in Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom
Over in Magic Kingdom, there were SUPER long lines for the Monorail from the Transportation & Ticket Center.
Things didn’t look a lot better once we entered the park and started our trek down Main Street, U.S.A.
Heading towards the castle, it started feeling really crowded. Of course, once crowds disperse throughout the park a bit, this could change.
Lines for food could be long, too — this is what the line for the Spring Roll Cart looked like this morning. We also saw a huge backup of Mobile Orders over at Pecos Bill.
So if you’re heading to Disney World this holiday weekend, we recommend taking advantage of early theme park entry if you have access to that, as well as considering purchasing Disney Genie+ to skip the long standby lines and use the ride’s Lightning Lane.
If it still feels crowded at the parks, we have put together a survival guide to help you maximize your time in Disney World on crowded days.

Not sure if this is the place to comment on this or not! I was listening to No Shoes Radio (Kenny Chesney) and there was a guest DJ on there, who I think works for the weather channel. I thought, how did AJ get to do this on Kenny’s station, and how is she on the weather channel? Well, it wasn’t AJ, it was Jen Carfagno from the weather channel – you both have the same voice, well at least to me! Anyway, thought it was funny. Thank you for having such great videos you all, we love them and love telling folks about them

Yup. Was there on Saturday morning. The early morning (we got there at 8:30am) at Magic Kingdom was pretty high-volume, but not as crowded as we’ve seen in the past. We rode Haunted Mansion first (25 min wait time), then Big Thunder, then Pirates of the Caribbean. When we came out of Haunted Mansion, the line had stretched down to the Steamboat entrance. Big Thunder was a long line, but it moved very quickly. Pirates was another long line, but also moved pretty well.
We left Magic Kingdom around 1:30pm. The park was packed with people, and even more crowds waiting to board the Ferryboat when we arrived at the TTC.

That’s so funny, Kevin! Thanks for sharing. I had to go have a listen myself and they do sound very similar to each other, haha.
