In discussing park price increases, Disney CEO Bob Chapek once said, “If demand goes up, then we have the opportunity to do that.” Well, we regret to inform your budgets, but it seems that the time for price increases has arrived.
We’ve seen price increases implemented for Genie+ at Disneyland, surge pricing introduced for the standard Genie+ service in Disney World, price increases announced for Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot, and cost increases revealed for more experiences. Earlier in 2022, we also saw hundreds of price increases hit Disney World restaurants, and now it looks like food price increases are happening again.
Price increases have hit HUNDREDS of food items across many Disney World restaurants. There are a LOT of increases to look at, but for now, let’s take a look at some of the key increases. Keep in mind that this is just a sampling of the increases and is NOT comprehensive of ALL the increases that have taken place.

While food price increases might seem relatively minor when looked at individually, they can add up over the course of a trip, particularly if you’ll be getting lots of food or traveling with a larger group. If you had already made a budget based on older prices, be sure to re-evaluate and see how/if these price increases will impact your trip.

I am really getting tired of almost every new blog that comes in , is PRICE INCREASES. Not DFB fault, they are just keeping us informed. Disney is just getting gross, so gross with everything, and the price increases every day is just the cherry on top. Bad on you Disney.
Ben says
At this point, WDW increases prices so frequently that they should install digital price boards or those old-fashioned train station arrival/departure boards that flip quickly at all food places.
ROBERT PACHECO says
Hello AJ;
I’ve got a great idea for your blogs and web-site.
I would star a new one called DPIB.
This would stand for Disney Price Increase Blog.
As sad as a commentary this is, it seems that almost EVERY newsletter you send out had a price increase for something.
I went back and looked at your previous newsletters for the past month.
You have made at least 30 references to price increases in the past 30 days.
At what point does this stop?
Rich A says
When are you going to start charging for water, Mr. Chapek?
Ronjon says
“If demand goes up, then we have the opportunity to do that”
So by that logic, if the demand goes down is Bob going to decrese the prices? I seriuosly doubt it. This just another money grab brought to you by Chapek and his enough is never enough Disney Executives.
Daniel Murray says
Where can the Caramelized Apple Liege Waffle be purchased – we love Gaufres de Liege as we lived in Belgium for four years – would like to try Disney’s Caramelized Apple version. Should probably be sold in EPCOT!
Thanks
Dan Murray

What is going on at DisneyWorld? Bob Chapek is a greedy horrible
Person ! Why is he doing this ? We will be there the end of Nov ONLY because I bought Christmas party non refundable tickets but I can tell U until this horrible man is gone from Disney we are done !!! He has literally single handedly destroyed WDW and the magic. Sick person 😡😡😡
Ken says
Prices are outta control for sure. DFB should do a direct comparison between a pre-pandemic food item vs. the same item post pandemic or at todays price, then show the percentage increase (or decrease, lol) for that item. This will give you a real time picture of where prices are.

I subscribe to this feed, hoping for some good news, but it is becoming ever more evident that it will never happen. I’m glad that at the time I didn’t know that my trip in 2019 would be my last. Disney is fast becoming a playground for the wealthy only. I wonder what will become of their value and moderate resorts? Disney really doesn’t want those less than wealthy people littering the parks.
mike says
there need’s to be a Hard Re-set on what Disney is doing, things are so Crazy in the Parks, we don’t even think of going back !
DFB Gigi says
Hi Daniel! The caramel apple liege waffle can be found at Connections Eatery in Epcot. 🙂
Gabbie says
He’s doing it because he can and people keep coming. Prices, crowds and lines are all out of control. We just got back and it was ridiculous…I don’t think we’ll go back any time soon, if ever again. They’ve taken so much away already and just continue to raise prices and build more hotels. It’s not what Walt intended, not even close anymore. We’ve been there 20+ times over the past 30 years and it’s no longer magical. Couldn’t ride half of what we wanted to and several rides shut down while we were in line….after waiting over an hour each time. I’m done.
