One of Disney World’s fanciest restaurants is about to reopen in EPCOT! Soon, you’ll be able to head to the France pavilion to indulge in luxurious French cuisine at Monsieur Paul Restaurant.
This spot has an upscale ambiance and has been known in the past for serving beautiful (and expensive) food along with carefully selected wine pairings. When it reopens, Monsieur Paul will have an all-new prix fixe menu — take a look at the new items here!
Reservations are open now for Monsieur Paul’s return, which will be on October 18th, 2022. Disney announced that this restaurant will have a prix fixe menu when it returns, and that menu will feature a gastronomic meal, which is a popular style of meal in France that emphasizes “the art of eating and drinking well.”
The new items are still after the style of Chef Bocuse, who opened Les Chefs de France at EPCOT in 1982. So if you’ve been to this restaurant before, you can expect a similar style and quality of food when you return to this spot. And if you haven’t been before, get ready to enjoy the creations of the chef who achieved 3 Michelin stars for 53 years straight at his famous restaurant in Lyon.
Now let’s look at the food! A prix fixe menu means that you’ll pay a set price (which isn’t yet listed on the menu) and then choose from different options for each course. To start, you’ll get a starter cocktail, which is a glass of champagne with a cheese puff gougère. You’ll also choose an appetizer — options include a Maine Lobster salad, Saffron mussels soup, or Escargot.
Next is the fish course. You can choose between sea bass in puff pastry, snapper in potato scales, and seared scallops served with maple pumpkin voloutè.
The meat course includes options like a rack of lamb, center-cut beef tenderloins, and chicken fricassee.
Up next is a cheese course, which features a plate of various imported cheeses. And rounding out the meal is dessert, which has options like a thin apple tart, chocolate almond cake with ice cream, and a meringue treat with ice cream, sorbet, chantilly cream, and a raspberry coulis.
The website also says that there will be “a focused wine list,” although the wine is not shown on the online menu yet. And although there isn’t a price listed, this restaurant falls into the $$$$ category, which means that each meal is over $60. The meal is likely well over that amount — we saw some updates at the end of last year (while Monsieur Paul was still closed) that showed a $175 price tag, although the menu displayed then looked different from the one we see now.
Remember that there are some extra policies to follow for Monsieur Paul. If you need to cancel your reservations here, you must do so at least 72 hours in advance or a $100-per-person cancelation fee will apply. (That’s another indication that the meals here will cost over $100 per person.) Also, children younger than 10 years old will not be allowed to dine here. A “sophisticated and upscale” dress code is also enforced.

Monsiere Paul… No surprise here. Not one vegetarian option!!! Not even one vegetarian appetizer!!! I guess our four meat eaters are not eating there either, since the seven of us eat as a family. Your loss. I guess “Don’t say VEGETARIAN” is a consistent DisneyWorld theme. So short sighted. And so against corporate Disney promotions of healthy eating and global conservation. No plastic straws? Really?

Another signature restaurant ruined with a Prix Fixe! Just over priced banquet food, they make you pay more and eat things you don’t want. So sad, will never eat there again.
