Strollers at Disney. For many, they are a necessity and can provide benefits when you pick the correct one for your trip.
Without proper research, you may end up with a stroller that is more of a burden than an asset!
For everyone who is Disney-bound and wants to know which strollers to go for and which ones to steer clear of, we’re going over the top picks and whether they’re a good fit for your trip or not.
Walt Disney World Stroller Guidelines
Disney World has its own rules when it comes to bringing your own stroller. The main guidelines listed on their site are as follows:
- Strollers larger than 31” (79 cm) in width and 52” (132cm) in length are not permitted. Stroller wagons are also not permitted.
- Strollers are not allowed on escalators. Use of strollers is permitted on elevators and ramps, available at certain locations.
- A child must be removed from his or her stroller while riding on a parking lot tram.
- Do not leave personal belongings in an unattended stroller.
Strollers may be moved by a Cast Member due to operational needs.
When choosing a stroller for your next trip, things to keep in mind are the dimensions, wheel performance, weight, and ease with which you can break it down. The ground in the parks can be quite uneven at times, and it can get tricky pushing a stroller through a crowd of other guests. Because strollers need to be broken down when getting on and off different transportation in and out of the parks, you’ll want something that is easy to set up and break down to avoid headaches.

These strollers cover a variety of needs as well as budgets, so keep reading to see which stroller is best for you!
UPPAbaby Vista V2
The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a favorite amongst parents because it is easy to install, rolls easily on a variety of terrains, and is sturdy. These are all important factors to consider when bringing a stroller system to Disney. You’ll be operating your stroller across bumpy sidewalks and don’t want to deal with sticky wheels, and being able to quickly break it down helps when you’re getting on and off busses and other transportation.
At 25.7 inches wide and 32.8 inches long, it does fit into Disney’s specifications. If you have an infant and are looking for a travel system, this is a good option. Keep in mind it does have a few parts to keep track of, and altogether it weighs a hefty 76.8 pounds.

Bugaboo Donkey 5
This stroller converts from single to double, a unique feature that might work well for parents who have two children where one doesn’t need a stroller the entire time, or for a couple who wants to plan ahead. The Bugaboo Donkey 5 is relatively light, especially considering it’s a double stroller, weighing just 49 pounds, which can be a bonus when you’re toting it around the parks.
It also fits within Disney’s width standards, even when expanded. At its widest the Donkey 5 is just 29 inches wide, and also fits within the length measurements. This stroller is not a complete system, so you’ll need to find a car seat that integrates with the correct adapters, which are sold separately.

Jogging strollers are a popular choice when it comes to picking one to bring to Disney World. They tend to be lighter than other strollers as well as slimmer. We checked the dimensions for this jogging stroller and it fits within the specifications, at 45 inches long and 24.5 inches wide.
This stroller folds down easily and is compact for storage. They also offer an entire travel system, which comes with a compatible car seat. Chicco Viaro Quick-Fold Travel System
This stroller fits somewhere between a jogger and a traditional stroller. It has the typical three-wheeled design of a jogger but is more robust, plus it also features a reclining seat to keep your little one comfortable throughout the day. The Viaro Quick-Fold lives up to its name with an easy one-hand folding system, perfect for quickly breaking down the stroller with one hand before hopping on your bus back to your resort while the other holds all your souvenirs from the day.
Reviewers say this stroller is durable and heavy-duty, which is important for those who will be checking their strollers into baggage claim when flying. With the included car seat, this travel system is basically everything you need when traveling with an infant. The two cup holders are an added bonus, as many strollers don’t include these and you’d have to pay extra for a clip-on version.

Jim says
When our daughter was young we had a small umbrella stroller, just enough for her to sit in. Now, like these monstrosities you’re showing, they’re the size of mini coopers and parents use them as battering rams. Restraint and respect need to come back to the parks.
