It’s almost Halloween, and just how SCARY are the ride wait times at Disney World?
We’ve seen some HIGH wait times this month but we’ve also seen some wait times going down. As we head into the holiday (and usually busier) season in Disney World, we’re taking a look at the wait times during the last week of October!
Before you scroll down, it’s a good idea to jot down which rides are must-dos for you during your Disney World trip. Knowing how you’ll have to strategize your time is important, and the wait times can also help you decide whether buying Genie+ would benefit your visit. Genie+ currently costs $15 to $22 per person, per day (this could change in the future) for access to faster Lightning Lanes, or you can opt to buy Lightning Lane access a la carte for select rides.
Without further ado, here are the average wait times of every Disney World ride this past week. Wait times were high a few weeks ago but they went down last week. What will this week tell us?
Magic Kingdom
Let’s start with Magic Kingdom, where Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time at 53 minutes! The ride averaged 57 minutes last week, so it actually decreased a bit this week.
After that, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 47 minutes, followed by Jungle Cruise at 40 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 37 minutes, Splash Mountain at 29 minutes, Space Mountain at 28 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 26 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 26 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 24 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 22 minutes, and Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 22 minutes.
Next up, Mickey’s PhilharMagic averaged 14 minutes, as did Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, “it’s a small world,” and Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover averaged 11 minutes, and Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel averaged 10 minutes.
The rides with the lowest wait times were Mad Tea Party at 9 minutes, Liberty Square Riverboat at 5 minutes, and Carousel of Progress at 4 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
We’ve eaten at every Magic Kingdom restaurant. These are the best!
EPCOT
If we make our way over to EPCOT, the ride with the longest average wait time for the second week in a row was Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, with an average wait time of 72 minutes. Last week the ride averaged 85 minutes, so that’s a 13-minute decrease!
The next longest average wait time was Frozen Ever After at 69 minutes, Test Track at 56 minutes, Soarin’ at 36 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 18 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 16 minutes, Living with the Land at 12 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 12 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 12 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 10 minutes, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 10 minutes.
Theater shows in EPCOT typically have low to zero wait times, and this week was no exception. Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China had zero average wait times this past week.

Hollywood Studios
Next up is Hollywood Studios, where Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time (as per usual!) this week at 94 minutes. Last week, the ride averaged 95 minutes, so that’s a teeny tiny decrease.
Slinky Dog Dash averaged 84 minutes followed by Toy Story Mania and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 57 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 55 minutes, and Tower of Terror and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 54 minutes.
Lastly, Alien Swirling Saucers averaged 34 minutes and Star Tours – The Adventures Continue averaged 18 minutes, followed by Walt Disney Presents at 15 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 13 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes.

Animal Kingdom
We’ve got one last stop at Animal Kingdom, where Avatar Flight of Passage was the ride with the longest average wait time at 98 minutes. The average was 103 minutes last week so that’s a minor decrease.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged 11 minutes and Triceratop Spin averaged 10 minutes. The Boneyard and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail averaged no wait time.

Overall, wait times are trending DOWN in Disney World! Some of the wait times only decreased by a small amount but hey — we’ll take it!
