Can you believe it’s NOVEMBER?! Where has the year gone?! It feels like we were just gearing up for summer, but now, holiday decorations are lining the streets of Disney World.
That’s right, as soon as that clock strikes Midnight on Halloween, it’s down with the pumpkins and up with the holiday wreaths (well, we actually saw holiday decor go up BEFORE Halloween in some spots!). There is SO much going on at Disney World during this time of the year, and we’re here to help you keep it all organized. So, let’s break down the BEST things to do in Disney World in November for those of you that have a trip coming up soon!
Celebrate the Holidays
The first thing you should do in November in Disney World? Celebrate the holidays, of course! Disney starts celebrating EARLY, so you can find festivities all month long. We’re going to break down some different offerings!
Thanksgiving
Even though Christmas trees and wreaths are already lining the streets, Thanksgiving is celebrated in Disney World, too! This is mostly done through food (as it should be!). There are a TON of special limited-time offerings available for Turkey Day this year, you can see them ALL right here.
But, Thanksgiving can also be a super busy day in Disney World, so make sure you have a plan. Right now, Magic Kingdom is already sold out for Thanksgiving Day, so you’ll have to make a Park Pass Reservation for a different park if you want to be in Disney World during the day. But, you can also get a Park Hopper ticket and head on over to Magic Kingdom at 2PM after you visit your first park, as long as the park isn’t at capacity.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning for the FIRST TIME since 2019 this year in Disney World! The event will be held in Magic Kingdom on select nights from November 8th through December 22nd and tickets range from $149 – $199 for ages 10 and up, and $139 – $189 for ages 3-9 (NOT including tax) per person. You can check out all of the dates and prices right here. And, know that a lot of dates ARE selling out!
The Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event, so the crowds are typically smaller and there are shorter wait times for rides. There will also be some fun holiday overlays on rides during the party! The party will have some special entertainment like holiday fireworks, a parade, and a stage show, too.
And, don’t forget about those treats! You can get complimentary treats during the party like cookies and cocoa. There will also be some fun snacks that you can buy. And, we’re sure to see some special party merchandise, too. We’ll be at the first party checking everything out, so make sure you follow along!

Festival of the Holidays
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays kicks off the day after Thanksgiving — November 25th! This festival celebrates different holiday traditions from around the world with food, music, and more. You can check out the different food booths around the World Showcase and try some tasty holiday offerings, like over at L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen. We don’t have the official menus yet, but we’ll let you know when we do!
You can also check out the Candlelight Processional. This is the telling of the Christmas Story by a celebrity narrator that’s accompanied by a choir. It happens in The American Adventure Pavilion and there’s a big list of the narrators right here! It’s a pretty popular offering, so if you want to make sure you get a seat, you can book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package, which will get you a meal and a guaranteed seat for the show.
In addition to this, you can find holiday Storytellers around the World Showcase. These storytellers will talk about their country’s holiday origins and traditions. Want to meet Santa Claus? You can do that over at the Odyssey Pavilion!
If you want a challenge, check out the Cookie Stroll coming back this year! Eat your way around the World Showcase by trying different cookies, then get a prize at the end. If you’d rather not eat that many cookies, you can also do things like Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition — a scavenger hunt to find Olaf around the park!
We’re also sure to see a bunch of fun merchandise for the event as well as decorations at the different pavilions around the World Showcase. We’ll keep you updated with what’s going on with the festival, so stay tuned!

MORE Festivities
That’s not all of the holiday celebrations, oh no! There are so many other things to do this time of the year in Disney World. There are decorations going up in all of the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. You can also check out some awesome gingerbread displays, like the giant house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or the carousel at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort.
We’ve already spotted a TON of fun merchandise as well! You can find holiday ears, clothing, and more around Disney World. There is also merchandise available for Hanukkah, and in the past, we’ve seen Hanukkah decorations in the parks and Disney Springs, too!
Santa Claus will be around in different parts of the Disney World parks, and you can even eat breakfast with him in Disney Springs! Want to go on a sleigh ride? You can do that, too.
The park icons will get a holiday makeover as well, with festive projections happening on Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life.
Other entertainment includes For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration in Hollywood Studios, which is getting a holiday finale that features Olaf! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will also be getting some holiday music added to the ride.
And, there will be things like the Merry Menagerie at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the Christmas Tree Stroll in Disney Springs!
Seriously, there are SO many celebrations — you can keep up with them all right here!

Visit Blizzard Beach
Blizzard Beach is finally reopening in Disney World this month! The water park will be open again starting November 13th. The park has been closed since the very beginning of 2022, with only Typhoon Lagoon in operation, but now Typhoon Lagoon will be closing when Blizzard Beach reopens.
The park will also have some NEW things when it reopens! The kids area has received a Frozen makeover, and there will be some new Frozen food offerings, as well as some new beverages for the adults to sip on, like the new Red Slope Bloody Mary at Frostbite Freddy’s. There will also be brand new Cajun Shrimp and Grits as well as a Watta-Melon Passion Lemonade from Lottawatta Lodge. Don’t worry, there will also be some returning favorites at the park, like the Double Bacon Cheeseburger!
And, there will also be some fun festivities for the holidays at the water park! Limited-time holiday offerings will run through December 31st and include holiday treats, daily snowfall, holiday music, and festive inner tubes. And, guests will even be able to meet a tropical-dressed Santa Claus! Some of the treats include an Orange Bird DOLE Whip cone and a Peppermint Milkshake.
You can check out the hours for Blizzard Beach when it reopens right here, and we’ll let you know about anything else happening with the water park!

Watch Fantasmic!
Another thing FINALLY returning in November? Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It feels like we’ve been waiting for the show to come back forever, and it’s finally happening on November 3rd!
The show will be slightly different when it comes back — Disney announced that an entire segment of the show will be replaced, so there’s a big opportunity to have new animation, characters, songs, and more! Disney said that the new show sequence will have an Aladdin chase scene with brand NEW stunts, a “powerful scene” with Elsa featuring the song “Show Yourself,” and moments with Moana, Pocahontas, and Mulan.
Also returning with Fantasmic! are Fantasmic! dining packages, but those won’t be available until November 30th. You can read more about them right here.

Enjoy Returned Dining
Also coming back in November are several dining options! First up, we have buffets over at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. The restaurant has been open for a while now as a character meal, but they’ve been serving food family style. But, buffets returned on November 1st, so you can enjoy ALL of those lovely offerings during your meal again!
There are also some restaurants that will be reopening, like Akershus in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion! The restaurant has been closed since before the shutdowns in 2020, and it’s finally reopening as a character meal with the Disney Princesses. You can check out more about the reopening here, and learn about how you can book the spot for the Candlelight Processional Dining Package right here.
Kona Cafe over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort also just opened back up! The spot had been closed for renovations since the summer, but it’s back. It was actually set to reopen on November 1st, but it opened early at the very end of October. It has a whole new look, right down to the menus! You can make reservations for the spot right now.
Finally, you can enjoy Minnie’s Holiday Dine over at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The character dining experience changes seasonally at this restaurant, so for the holidays, you can meet Minnie and friends in their festive outfits, and enjoy some seasonal dessert along with the regular buffet.
This offering will start on November 8th!

Check Out the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic
Finally is an activity that isn’t technically a part of Disney, but it does take place on Disney World property! The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic takes place this year on November 11th & 12th from 5:30-9PM. This is a food and wine festival that features food from various restaurants, including several that are located in the Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
You can take a look at the full menus right here, but know that this year’s themed areas will include The Beer Garden, The Pig & The Poke, Carnival Corner, and Chinatown! This event works differently than EPCOT food festivals — for this one, you buy a ticket ahead of time which includes your food sample. You can get your tickets right now.
