With Halloween behind us, we’re moving right along to another holiday! Disney World is getting a lot (and we mean a LOT) of new treats for Thanksgiving this year, so we’re going to try them out and let you know which ones you should prioritize during your upcoming trip.
Let’s head to Disney’s All-Star Resorts right now to try 2 new Thanksgiving treats. Should you go out of your way to get these seasonal desserts? We’re about to find out!
The first treat can be found at all 3 of Disney’s All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music, and Sports). Head to the Intermission Food Court, World Premiere Food Court, or End Zone Food Court to get the Gobble Wobble Bundt Cake (and with a name like that, we know you can’t resist this treat!).
The Gobble Wobble Bundt Cake is a cinnamon apple bundt cake with caramel buttercream on top and a buttercream turkey decoration.
Our first thought when tasting this little guy was “holy moley, this thing is delicious.” The cinnamon and apple flavors in this cake were very prominent, and the apple bits mixed into the cake add texture and keep it moist. It reminded us of a dense, sweet breakfast bread.
We did not, however, detect many caramel notes in the caramel buttercream. It tasted like a basic buttercream to us. If you are a frosting lover, there is quite a bit of it there to make the turkey. We left some of the buttercream behind, because we didn’t want to overwhelm the great fall flavors in the cake.

This is one of the better Disney World cupcakes we have tasted recently! If you are a fan of apple pie flavors and cakes that are not overly sweet, we think you’ll enjoy this. This cake is moist and dense, so fans of lighter, fluffier cakes may not enjoy it. The cinnamon is prominent, so if that’s not a flavor you enjoy, you may want to choose a different Thanksgiving treat. You can get the Gobble Wobble Bundt Cake from now until November 27th for $5.99.
Moving along to the next treat, we’re trying the Falling for Plant-Based Cupcake for $5.49! This cupcake is plant-based, as its name implies, and it’s also gluten- and wheat-friendly.
This is a fairly simple cupcake with chocolate buttercream and autumn sprinkles.
The frosting was swirled a little too high on these cupcakes when we went to taste one — all of them in the case were a bit smushed into their packaging. Is too much frosting a bad thing, though?
The frosting on this cupcake did melt in our mouth — it’s very light, and the cake is moist. Flavor-wise, we found it to be rich and sweet, but just a basic chocolate flavor. And, we found ourselves wanting MORE flavor, in general — even just the basic chocolate.
If you are a plant-based eater, this may be a good snack option for you. If you are looking for more complex flavors, we suggest you seek out one of Disney World’s other plentiful treats!
The Falling for Plant-Based Cupcake is available November 1st through the November 27th at the following locations:
- Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Centertown Market and Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Riverside Mill and Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and French Quarter
If you’re not staying at one of the resorts that has these treats at its food court, it might be a little bit tricky for you to get to the new eats. There are plenty of Thanksgiving treats coming to Disney World, so we’re not sure these are worth a special trip, but if you’re in the neighborhood, you may want to give them a try!
