Some BIG changes have been announced for Disney World today. Not only will it cost you more to visit Disney World depending on which park you go to, but a new dining reservation cancellation policy was announced as well.
Now, we have another BIG change to share with you.
Starting December 8th, prices for select add-ons like Park Hopper will vary by date. This will be similar to the surge pricing we have seen introduced with Genie+.
This means that both Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus pricing will now vary by date. So you can likely expect it to be cheaper during the week and more expensive during peak seasons like Christmas. Pricing should be based on your arrival date, as it is now.
We will continue to share more details on pricing based on dates and any other add-ons this is announced for as that information is released.

Shocked I am.
Bruce Pearson says
This is totally ridiculous.
Greed World should be the name.
I have been a AP for years.
Unbelievable.
I have so many cast members as friends.
Things have changed way to much!!!!!
Kris Mitchell says
Who comes up with this? Seriously, Disney is out pricing itself. The old way was great, why change it…oh wait, greed. I had a trip planned, but have since canceled it and most likely will not reschedule. I want to go and enjoy my vacation, not spend the entire time working on scheduling, logistics, going broke, and even then not being able to enjoy it all or be allowed to see everything?? It is totally getting out of hand all these changes. Why not leave it simple?? Very discouraged!

Does any of the increase in ticket prices including the Park Hopper impact those that have already made their purchase? I assume not but never hurts to ask and be sure. Thank you.
Lyn says
Of course. I’m pretty sure Chapek and Disney board are major fans of Scrooge McDuck. Except Scrooge always showed he had a heart.
BK says
I’m waiting for the day that Disney will start charging you for the air you breathe while in their parks. No doubt it is coming.
Andy Wing says
Im so disappointed with the way Disney is going right now. Attendance is down and theyre still hiking things up, despite the fact that theyre seeing people become unhappy with the parks. I hope Chapek gets removed soon, hes bad for business.
Nina says
This seems to be typical of Bob Chapek’s philosophy just keep raising prices on everything to make more money and too bad that it is becoming cost prohibitive for the general public. A philosophy which is in complete opposition to Walt Disney’s vision for the parks. Walt had envisioned a place were families could enjoy time together for a reasonable price. Now anything that made a visit to Disney parks convenient for families has been reinvented for a price. For example the Magic Bus was a blessing for families traveling with young children and or elderly family members. The free Fast pass was morphed into Genie plus for an extra cost on top of escalating park ticket prices. Soon Disney Parks will only be accessible to the very wealthy and the rest of us will not be able to give our children and grandchildren the delight of a Disney vacation.
John F Licari says
Everything Disney is doing now with price increases is terrible. it makes the trip more unaffordable for most people. Bob Chapek is driving the bus off the road. He is raising prices in the Parks to subsidize losses in his streaming service. Screwing the disney fan.

Hi Ralph. If you’ve already made your purchases you should not be affected.
Leslie Brown says
So, the hours you can park hop have been cut, but they are now going to charge more money?! Amazing, I guess they don’t care how fed up people are getting
Georjean says
You can Park Hop to any park with capacity after 2PM is the caption under the picture in this article. What does this mean?
DG says
I am not surprised at all the price gouging going on. This seems like proper operating practice these days. Quite frankly you can only recoup lost profits due to COVID, on the backs of the paying public for so long, before it all comes crashing down all around you. Where does this all end? Hopefully not in a pile of rubble at the end of Buena Vista Drive. I just shake my head! WOW
DFB Gigi says
Hi Georjean! That means that if you have the park hopper pass, you can park hop to any park of your choice after 2pm if the park has not reached maximum capacity and is still allowing guests to enter.
Ronjon says
“Surge Pricing” is just another phrase for Price Gouging. How do companies get away with this, why is this legal?
