Okay, you know us, when Gideon’s Bakehouse releases new cookies, we’re going to make a beeline to Disney Springs to try them out.
Although this year’s holiday selection isn’t EXACTLY new, we can’t say no when it’s time to check out Gideon’s monthly offerings. This year brought back some favorites, along with some things we hadn’t tried yet, so join us as we try the holiday cookies, cake slices, and cold brew!
So the Krampus Cold Brew for $6 is made by combining Gideon’s Cold Brew with a Chocolate Mint homemade sauce. Okay, so their coffee is consistently good, and this one is delicious, as expected. You can taste the chocolate in the coffee, but the peppermint comes through, too! We didn’t think we’d like the sprinkles, but these aren’t the chalky ones — they’re more like little crystals of sugar. Overall, this is PERFECT for the season.
Next up is the Kris Kringle Cookie for $6. It’s a White Chocolate Coffee Bean Cookie with Coconut, Caramel, and Vanilla Bean “notes.” We’ve loved this previously, and this year is no different — it’s still DELICIOUS. You can even taste that hint of coffee flavor in it.
Also, we think this is one of the “lighter” cookies (if a half-pound cookie can be considered light!) at Gideon’s.
The Cookie Von Krampus is a Chocolate Cookie with an “icy cool of a frozen heart” and covered in Andes Mints for $6. Again, if you’re here for chocolate and mint flavors, this cookie delivers. It tastes like Christmas, y’all.
Also, we loved how ooey and gooey this one was. YUM.
Finally, we tried the Cake Vom Krampus for $9, which is a Red Velvet Cake with an ultra Mint Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting. That description alone is enough to make us drool, but we can say that it did NOT disappoint.
We really thought that frosting would be a lot heavier than it is, but it’s actually light, chocolatey, and minty!
These cookies and the cold brew will be around through December 31st, but note that if they run out for the day, you’ll probably have to come back on another day to try and grab them. Also, the Cake Von Krampus is only available on Wednesdays and Sundays through the end of the year. This place is SUPER popular.
Note that the area inside Gideon’s Bakehouse is small, which means you’ll probably be waiting in line for a little while — sometimes the bake shop opens a virtual queue but then you can go shopping or go do something else while you’re waiting. You’ll get a text when it’s your time to go inside to make the most delicious choices of your life.
