Air travel hasn’t been easy lately.
Between weather, staffing issues, and more — we’ve been seeing more delays and cancelations across airports nationwide. Florida has been having a particularly rough go of it lately, and it looks like that isn’t going to change anytime soon. The Federal Aviation Administration has warned Florida flights may not go as planned today — here’s what we know.
Tampa International Airport shared a post on Twitter alerting travelers that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had issued a delay program for flights into and out of Florida due to weather.

It’s important you continue to check your airline’s app or website for the latest up to date information about the status of your flight. If it looks like your flight may be affected by these weather delays, contact your airline directly to make other arrangements should you need to!
Florida recently had to deal with another influx of flight delays and cancelations, when an Air Traffic Control Center in Miami had a computer malfunction, causing the FAA to issue a ground stop. Nearly every major airport in Florida was faced with issues and delays because of this malfunction. Brace yourself for potential delays and cancelations if you need to fly to Florida today as well!
