We try to always stress the importance of planning ahead for your Disney World trip!
Things can change from day to day in the parks — whether that means a restaurant is closed, an attraction is under refurbishment or temporarily down, or something else entirely. Planning ahead can mean you’re prepared for any unforeseen circumstances in Disney World. And if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom later this month, there’s something important you need to know.
Magic Kingdom is closing early on January 31st!
The Disney World calendar shows the park opening at 9AM as normal, but closing early at 4:30PM instead of later on in the evening.
We often see Disney close certain parks early for Cast Member events, which could be the case here. Occasionally, Disney might shut down a park before it normally closes for private events as well.
So, if you’re planning on visiting Magic Kingdom on January 31st, you might want to get there as soon as it opens in order to maximize your time. Or, consider starting in Magic Kingdom and hopping to another park once it closes if you’re an Annual Passholder or have a park hopper ticket.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on the Disney World calendar and let you know about any other important dates coming up. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
