It’s no secret that Disney World is expensive.
Chances are that won’t be changing anytime soon. But believe it or not — not all theme parks are as pricy as the Most Magical Place on Earth. In fact, a new report shows which amusement park offers the BEST value for a family — and the answer might surprise you!
A new report from FamilyDestinationsGuide.com analyzed prices of hotels, tickets, food, reusable branded water bottles, and transportation at various theme parks to figure out which offers the BEST value for families. The report was based on a family of two adults and two kids under nine.
It may come as no surprise that Disney World didn’t take the top spot — instead, Kings Island in Ohio came in first place as the cheapest day out for a family of four. The average daily cost was $368.20, with the cost for food here being $26.32 and tickets coming in at $159.96 per day.
So, where did Disney World rank? The Most Magical Place on Earth ranked fourth best value, with a daily total of $603.32. The price for park tickets was $319.78, while the cost of lunch was $11.37 cheaper than the average of $57.57.
Universal Studios Orlando took the fifth place spot, with Universal’s Islands of Adventure came in sixth.
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure came up last in the report at 10th place — with an average daily cost of $681.83.

Not even a close comparison. I live less than an hr from Kings Island and not worth the cost. Haven’t been in years, but go to Disney 4-5 times each year. Entertainment, attractions, atmosphere, cast all so much better!!
