When you go to Disney World do you think about the closures that could affect your trip?
This is the time of year when Disney World does a lot of refurbishments at the resort, so you might be surprised to find that certain rides are down, hotel pools are closed, and more. As of today, though, a mode of Disney World transportation is closed for refurbishment.
Disney World’s Skyliner covers quite a big swath of Disney World, connecting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Previously, we told you that the Skyliner would be closed for refurbishment as of today, January 22nd. Today, we saw signs at EPCOT about the closure.
The closure will last until January 29th, so if you’ll be visiting Disney World and had planned on using that mode of transportation, you’ll need to make alternative plans. Fortunately, Disney offers buses to and from Skyliner resorts to make it easier to get to the parks. There will probably be signs at each resort indicating where guests need to go to catch buses to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
So be sure to take that into consideration if you’re visiting Disney World soon and had planned on using the Skyliner. You’ll need to make sure you allow ample time for transportation if you need to be anywhere at a certain time (for example, for an advance dining reservation).
