We’ve got big news coming out of Disneyland.

Back in June 2022, Disneyland’s All-American College Band finally returned for the first time after the 2020 pandemic closure. If you’re a big fan of seeing this band perform in the park, we’ve got some bad news.
Disney has just announced that the All-American College Band is currently on a hiatus for an undetermined amount of time.
Many guests and fans in the comments are sad about this announcement, saying this unique program must continue to give musicians the opportunities it does.

It’s been less than a year since the band returned to Disneyland, and we’re really hoping this hiatus doesn’t last for long and will be back soon.

UPDATE: According to the Orange County Register, Disneyland announced that the All-American College Band program will return in the future and be restarted by a project team that will help with the relaunch. There’s currently no return date for the program.

Yet another outrage. It reflects yet again that management is out of step with the customers.
As the mom of a young musician (currently High School), we know Covid just destroyed music programs. Currently her HS band is running at about 60% of it’s usual enrollment. Her middle school was down to 40 at one point and is up to 50. Her special ensembles at a local university are still only about 50%. This past fall, the younger ensembles had NO percussion musicians and she filled in. Hopefully, as we come out of the pandemic, more musician will return and all bands/ensembles will be back making music.
