There are SO many new snacks in the parks this month.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Why you may ask? That’s because Disney is celebrating Black History Month with their Celebrate Soulfully event, which means new snacks, themed entertainment, and more. We headed over to Disney Yacht & Beach Club Resorts to grab the new Princess Tiana cupcake!

The Tiana Praline Cupcake is a vanilla cupcake filled with pecan praline filling and topped with vanilla buttercream, with chocolate décor on top. You can grab it for $6.29.

It looks super pretty, with decorations themed to Tiana’s gown from the movie The Princess and the Frog. But how does it TASTE?

So pretty!

The most prominent flavor in this cupcake is definitely that pecan praline filling. It’s very sweet, and it has actual pecans (so anyone with a pecan allergy will definitely need to avoid this) along with some praline-flavored cream. If you’re a fan of those flavors, you’ll definitely love this cupcake! The rest of the treat was a little bit boring, but this pop of flavor really saved it.

A look at the decorations

The cake part was a little bit on the dry side, although the flavor was good (albeit somewhat basic). It wasn’t too sweet on its own, which helped balance the treat with that sugary praline filling.

The cake wasn’t the best

The icing on top is buttercream, which our reporter prefers to the whipped icing that’s sometimes on Disney’s cupcakes. The icing was pretty tasty, although it was a little bit hardened from being kept in the fridge and didn’t have a special flavor (just vanilla).

Inside the treat

We wished that icing also had the pecan praline flavor or maybe another complementary flavor to make this cupcake a little more interesting. Overall, however, we thought it was a great treat with a beautiful look.
