Well, we’re in for MORE winter, at least according to one particular groundhog.
While we were getting ready for rope drop at Disney World this morning, the rest of the world was holding its breath to see if a certain groundhog saw its shadow or not (spoiler alert: it did). But part of the ceremony at Gobbler’s Knob in Pennsylvania also included fireworks — and during the show, we heard some VERY familiar music.
Yep, we were there recording the Groundhog Day fireworks (seriously, this is a BIG deal) and the accompanying music was from Star Wars!

Then, Punxsutawney Phil came out and did his thing, seeing his shadow, and dooming us all to a longer winter. Oh, well, he’s not ALWAYS right, is he? But we thought it was fun that Star Wars music was used for the fireworks display.

Oh my gosh! I don’t know why, but it makes me so happy to see that someone from DFB was really at Gobbler’s Knob today for Groundhog Day!! Punxsutawney is my hometown and even though I’ve lived in CLE for 30+ years, I still consider Punxs’y home and spend every summer there. Thank you for mentioning Punxsutawney and Groundhog Day!!
