In the past few years, we’ve seen some HIGHLY anticipated theme park lands open up in the U.S.
At Disney World alone, we got Pandora — The World of Avatar, Toy Story Land, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disneyland Resort also got a version of the Star Wars land, along with Avengers Campus. But now we’re heading to a non-Disney theme park to check out another brand-new addition — Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood!
It’s officially the opening day of the new land, and we’re here to check out all the exciting offerings. But just how bad are the crowds today? This addition has been pretty highly anticipated, and quite a few fans have shown up to check it out just like us.
After entering Universal Studios, we made our way to the entrance of Super Nintendo World! Depending on how busy it is when you visit, you may be faced with a line to get in or needing a virtual reservation — keep that in mind!
Once we were in, we couldn’t believe our eyes — not only because of the immersive theming, but also the amount of PEOPLE that were around! It looks like we weren’t the only ones checking out Super Nintendo World on opening day. Since this land isn’t super large, it’s easy for things to feel a big congested.
Over at Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, the wait was well into the triple digits for most of the day. You can see the queue and ride entrance here!
Just LOOK at all the people down there — it may be because there are large, open areas in this land that it looks like so many people are in one spot, but if you ask us it was just a LOT of people. We had to wait in lines to play most of the games, meet any characters, and of course ride Bowser’s Challenge — but it was worth it!
So that’s what crowds looked like for the opening day of Super Nintendo World! Stay tuned to DFB for more updates from this new land and all the details you need to know before you visit!
