When it comes to buffets, your experience can either be really good, or really bad. Usually, there’s no in between. Whether you can’t get over how amazing the food was, or you can’t get over how bad the stomach ache was, there’s a lot of talk about buffets — especially at Disney!
The good thing about Disney buffets is that some of them actually rank pretty high in our list of favorite restaurants at Disney in general! Yes, they’re that good! To save you some time (and some disappointment) we decided to rank every buffet in Disney World!
Without further adieu, here is every buffet-style restaurant at Disney World ranked from best to worst — according to the DFB team. (You can trust us! We’ve tried them all!)
1. Boma
Boma – Flavors of Africa is tucked into Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and features a full buffet inspired by African cuisine. Here, you can enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast or dinner.
From pap for breakfast to the zebra dome cake for an after-dinner dessert, you can’t go wrong with Boma! The food is amazing if you love African-inspired cuisine and are feeling adventurous.
2. 1900 Park Fare
On April 10th, 2024, 1900 Park Fare opened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we were initially upset about changes that were made to the characters that you can meet here (WHERE is Mary Poppins?), we were pleasantly surprised by how awesome our experience was. Now, you can meet Tiana, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Aladdin, and although that seems like an odd group of characters — it was the BEST experience.
Not only is the food here delicious, we think it’s picky-eater-approved. Yes, really! At breakfast, you can indulge in southern biscuits and gravy, creamy, buttery grits, and even a pretty solid Eggs Benedict option. Oh, and we can’t forget about the famous strawberry soup that you can grab! Between the great character interactions and the awesome food, we’d recommend this breakfast to anyone. Oh, and it totally helps that it’s just a Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom!
3. Tusker House
Tusker House is located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and features an array of both American and African cuisine — perfect for the whole family. Plus, there are character breakfasts! You can say hello to Mickey and the gang as they come back from their Safari adventure — dressed in their gear, of course! The food here is great, and the character dining here is one of Disney’s most well-kept secrets!
4. Biergarten
Biergarten is a family-style buffet and dinner-show located in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion. You can enjoy a wide variety of German-inspired cuisine such as bratwurst, spaetzle, potato salad, and of course — beer! You can never go wrong with dinner and a show. The food is delicious, and the food is excellent as well.
5. Cape May Cafe
Cape May Cafe is located just a short walk from EPCOT at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Guests can enjoy a taste of New England-inspired cuisine, and at breakfast time, can meet Minnie and her friends all dressed up for a day at the beach! The variety of food is perfect for those who love seafood and those who’d rather eat something from the mainland. Not only is this one of our favorite restaurants for theming purposes, but the food is great, too!
6. The Crystal Palace
Sorry dads, no football here. This buffet-style restaurant featuring our friends from the Hundred Acre Woods was built to resemble England’s Crystal Palace, built in Hyde Park for the Great Exhibition of 1851. Here, guests can meet Winnie the Pooh and his friends while enjoying classic American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oh, and did we mention that it’s located in Magic Kingdom? Perfect for a day spent at the parks! The convenience of this restaurant is one of our favorite things about it, plus the food is actually pretty good!
7. Hollywood and Vine
Located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Hollywood and Vine offers guests great American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, you can party with Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins, Fancy Nancy, and more! For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy seasonally-themed meet-and-greets with Minnie Mouse and the gang. The theming and variety of characters is the best part of the restaurant, as the food is decent, but nothing special.
8. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is one of Disney’s best kept secrets! Located in the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT, you can enjoy cuisine inspired by Scandinavian favorites with some American sides. Plus, you can meet so many favorite Disney princesses such as Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel! The experience is amazing, but the food is… average?
9. Chef Mickey’s
This buffet-style restaurant is located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The appeal of Chef Mickey’s comes from the ability to meet the Fab 5 dressed up as chefs! The food, however, is not always phenomenal. Stick to breakfast at Chef Mickey’s and just get the waffles and cheesy potatoes.

Joe B says
Hollywood & Vine is our favorite buffet stop! Great times with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto (please, parents, tell your kids WHO these iconic characters are!) who change garb seasonally. Food is plentiful, varied and good and pairing this with Fantasmic by purchasing the package is the way!! Great food, characters and a center seat for the best outdoor show in Disney World.
BUT— if the weather is “iffy,” if it MIGHT rain— think twice about doing it. It’s no fun to be seated for half and hour in the sprinkle only to have the show cancelled just as you reach your most damp!
