The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is underway, and we’ve already visited ALL the food booths, but there’s STILL so much more to see, do, and even eat!
We’ve admired the topiaries, bought some merchandise, and checked out some entertainment, but more importantly, we’ve visited ALL the food booths. But the La Isla Fresca booth actually has TWO menus — one for lunch and dinner, and one for breakfast. We’ve already tried out the regular menu, but now we’re back for breakfast!
Menu
The breakfast menu at La Isla Fresca features a Breakfast Empanada, along with some juice-based drinks, PLUS coffee.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into breakfast!
Eats
The Breakfast Empanada for $6.75 may not look like much (we thought it might be dry before we bit into it), but don’t let that fool you. It’s very flaky (even a little messy) and the inside has a LOT of cheese. You know how we feel about cheese, right?
The egg inside is surprisingly fluffy and it paired perfectly with the little chunks of ham mixed in. Although it might not look like there’s a LOT of filling on the inside, it’s a good balance between the pastry and the filling mixture.
Who doesn’t love a tasty breakfast at Disney World that’s under $7?
Drinks
In terms of drinks, everything here is returning, including the Dulce de Leche Cocoa Coffee for $5. We really liked this drink last year — it gave us warm and cozy spiced hot chocolate vibes, but with the caffeine kick of coffee. What’s not to love about that?
This year, it’s a little warm out, so instead, we opted to get the returning Tropical Breeze, which is made with Minute Maid Lemonade, grapefruit, and simple syrup for $4.50.The lemon and grapefruit flavors make this a tangy drink that’s just a little bit sweet. If you love citrus or sour flavors, this one’s for you. It’s also a nice, refreshing drink for those hot Florida days. It’s also a GREAT breakfast drink
You can also get this drink with Don Q Límon Rum for $11.
Overall
This booth is almost always a hit with us, and that’s how we feel about breakfast here, too. If you’re looking for something a little different than a traditional breakfast pastry, the empanada is a MUST. The Tropical Breeze is a nice morning drink, too, with refreshing tropical flavors.
Of course, this is just one of MANY booths at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, but we’ve reviewed ALL of them, so you can check that out here. We’ll continue to cover the festival, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!

So when you said you went to Isla Fresca for breakfast does that mean it is open before 11 like the rest ?
