An experience is finally coming BACK to Hollywood Studios!
Slowly, many experiences have returned to “normal” at Disney World. In recent months, we’ve seen Disney World restaurants reopen, cultural representatives return to a Disney World hotel, and more. And now Disney has shared a BIG update for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
According to Disney, the Edna Mode Experience will be coming back to Hollywood Studios on May 14th. It’ll be returning as part of what Disney is calling a “reimagined Pixar Place.”
At the reimagined Pixar Place, you’ll also be able to “encounter” Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and Frozone from The Incredibles, and Sulley from Monsters, Inc.
For those not familiar with it, Pixar Place is an area of Hollywood Studios that was once home to actual soundstages used for productions, and it was made to resemble the actual Pixar Animation Studios in California (before Toy Story Land was built in the park, this is where Toy Story Mania was located!).
It was later “taken over” by The Incredibles and rethemed to Municiberg. Here, guests could occasionally find character meet and greets and photo ops.
In recent years, however, some of the back areas here have sometimes been open but empty (guests could walk in and snap a few photos but nothing was really open).
Other times, that back area has been totally closed off. We actually noticed it was closed off during a recent trip.
But now it looks like things will be CHANGING and more of this space will officially be opening up with things for guests to do.
Could this signal the reopening of the Neighborhood Bakery snack stand and the return of some of its previous treats (like that Key Lime Pie on a stick)? We’ll have to wait to find out! (For now, you can get the Num Num Cookie at The Market so don’t fret!)
We’ll keep an eye out for more details about this reopening and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more updates.

Shoot. Pixar Place was my favorite place to get away from the crowds, have a little quiet time, and charge my ECV. LOL

Just a quick note to AJ…Thanks for all you do with DFB that gives me a vicariously great trip to the parks. We have been going to Disney World since a year after it opened and still visit Lake Buena Vista usually every year. Taking our kids and their families has resulted in one of our granddaughters working for Disney in Social Media and video and guest relations in Orlando and now at Disneyland. Anyway, thanks for DFB. Keep up the great work.

Makes sense. They need something else to be open with RnR down. Crowd control.
