We have some BIG updates for you about changes coming to Disney World in 2024.
In the last few years, Disney has made some major decisions — and they haven’t all been popular. From introducing a paid version of FastPass to requiring Park Pass Reservations to get into the parks, many Disney guests have had some gripes. Well, it looks like Disney is listening, because next year, lots of things are changing. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World in 2024, we’ve got all the details.
First, tickets and packages for next year will go on sale soon! But, they will look quite a bit different than those we’ve seen recently. Let’s take a look at some of the changes:
The Disney Dining Plan Will Return
That’s right, the much-anticipated return of the Disney Dining Plan will officially take place in 2024.
For those staying at a Disney Resort hotel beginning January 9th, 2024, two Dining Plan options will be available for booking: Disney Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan.
This will offer guests the convenience of pre-paying for their meals and snacks before they arrive.
Simplified Disney Genie+ Experience
While the details of this change have not yet been worked out, Disney is trying to simplify the experience of Genie+ for guests in 2024.
Disney is working on a way to make this system easier for guests who would prefer to not spend so much time planning on their phones while they are in the park. While the change has not been announced yet, it is a result of guests sharing that they would like to plan out their Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane Selections in advance.
Continued Extended Park Time for Hotel Guests
Early Theme Park Entry will continue to be offered for Disney hotel guests for all four parks. Extended Evening Hours will continue to be offered for guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas on select dates in select parks through 2024.
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World in 2024 and are looking forward to these changes — good news! Tickets and packages for next year go on sale May 31st — and all of these changes will apply!
