Disney truly has a way of making us all feel like royalty from time to time.
While some of you might be imagining sweaty humans all packed together in a closely-quartered queue to ride a children’s ride and thinking that it doesn’t seem like royal treatment, we’re talking about some special events that Disney hosts that just seem to make things a bit more… magical. One of those occasions is World Princess Week!
World Princess Week celebrates Disney Princesses, real-life princesses, and the spirit of girlhood by showcasing all that we are and all that inspires us to dream big, live courageously, and love those around us — just like the Disney Princesses in the films! (That was a little cheesy, but sometimes it’s about more than just a theme park and some cool movies, yanno?) Disney World celebrates all week long with snacks, special merchandise, and this year — a royal ball.
This year, Princess Week will take place from August 20th through August 26th. While we don’t have many specific details yet, we do know a few specifics on the ball that will debut this year.
The Once Upon A Wish Party will be thrown by Disney in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This event will be thrown specifically for Wish families and will include a full day’s worth of “enchanting surprises, inspiration, and adventures fit for a hero or heroine.”
Disney says we can expect tea and treats, character meet-and-greets, and Wish kids from all over the country! The very first Princess to be invited was 7-year-old Scarlett at Ventura Elementary School in Florida, who was personally visited at school by Minnie Mouse and her Cast Member friends.
We’ll continue to keep you updated as we find out more details about this year’s Princess Week Celebration as well as the Once Upon a Wish Party. Stay tuned and follow along for more!

Im excited for princess week. I just hope that for anything Frozen related, they use Frozen 1 merch and costumes. I hope they have Anna and Elsa in their Frozen 1 outfits and hairstyles for the character meet and greets and other activities and merchandise.
