We found a few new treats around Disney World that are celebrating the release of The Little Mermaid live-action movie, and between all these new snacks and all the other new experiences popping up in the parks, we’ve been BUSY!
We’ve been floundering around and hanging out with Ariel at her new meet and greet, catching the latest sneak peek of The Little Mermaid in Hollywood Studios, and trying out the latest PhotoPass filters, and now it’s time to take a snack break!
A few new treats have arrived in the Magic Kingdom so we decided to pick them up and give them a try! Let’s dive into a few of these new treats found around the parks.
First up, let’s check out the Divinely Diabolical Milkshake! What an EPIC name, right?
This treat consists of a cookies and cream milkshake with a chocolate drizzle and purple whip cream, topped with white chocolate crisp pearls, and a chocolate seashell. We picked this one up at The Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom for $7.99.
As for the taste, well…it’s a classic cookies and cream milkshake. So if you’re a fan of cookies and cream milkshakes, it’s a nice (and pretty!) spin on an old classic.
That said, the whipped cream was just too much for us and it was so sweet. It’s a fairly decent size, but we questioned the pricing on this one since it’s basically just a cookies and cream milkshake. If you’re not a fan of chocolate, we recommend you pass on this one.

Up next, we tried the Part of Your World treat!
This dessert came from Storybook Treats at Magic Kingdom, just down the way from where we picked up the last snack. It’s made of strawberry dole whip and purple cheesecake soft serve, topped with white chocolate crisp pearls and a chocolate seashell served in a blue cone. This colorful cone cost us $6.29.
This cone is super bright and cute, but you have to eat FAST! This one melted ridiculously quickly, and it really was a bummer to see it melt right before our eyes. We were also left questioning where the purple cheesecake flavor was because we had a hard time distinguishing it from the rest of the flavors.
Now for something to drink. We headed over to Fairfax Fare in Hollywood Studios to try Bubbles of the Sea for $6.99. It’s made with Gold Peak Sweet Green Tea, Lemon Juice, Pineapple, and Guava topped with Boba Pearls and a splash of Shimmer. If you’re wondering, yes, this drink tastes just like liquid candy. It’s VERY sweet, but if you like sweet, you’ll love it.
The flavor is almost completely dominated by the green apple Boba, though. It just overpowers all those other flavors, which is a shame. Note that this is WAY sweeter than juice (so, no, it’s not like POG juice). It’s syrupy sweet, but that just means that kids will probably LOVE it. However, we do love that this is basically like a vacation mocktail — it’s totally giving us those vibes.
Well, on to the next beverage. We grabbed The Little Mermaid Milk Shake for $9.49 from Hollywood Scoops in Hollywood Studios. It’s a Vanilla, Mango, Guava, and Ginger Milk Shake topped with Whipped Cream and a Pineapple-Guava Seashell Cake. Yes, that is…a bit much.
Although the milk shake itself was creamy with a nice consistency and the presentation is beautiful, we’re just going to have to say it — we did not think this milk shake was good. It honestly made us feel like we were drinking tooth paste. Even if you love ginger, the ginger flavor here is so overpowering that it takes over the entire drink.
We also didn’t think the cake was a very good match — it’s got a super thick icing with a consistency we didn’t care for. Also, the pineapple and guava flavors were just not there for us.
Overall, these new treats added for the debut of The Little Mermaid live-action film really didn’t knock our socks off with their execution (or their favoring) and left us with some questions. If you’re looking for a festive new treat to try, just be prepared for some overly-sweet and artificially-flavored snacks. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
